Smile BMW Roundel thread

I found a thread on here about fitting a BMW roundel to the front engine cover, however i seemed to have lost it again (the thread not my marbles). Could some kind soul remind where it is again. From memory it even has the part number.

Thanks

Dario

Yeah what size it it? I ordered some off ebay and they were too big. Don't remember the size. Maybe 70mm or 80mm.

I think the thread said the roundel size was 58mm. I do remember that it quoted the actual part number. I am sure someone will be along later with a linky :-)

Reproduction /2 roundels

I found the /2 roundel is a perfect fit, didn't measure it so I have no idea the diameter. The /2 roundel has two screw hole that take small (4-5 mm) counter sunk flat blade machine screws with washers, nuts and a touch of lock tight on the threads. Yup you gotta drill holes in the cover and I'm sure the /2 roundel is a little more money but at least its a true BMW motorcycle part.

Hi Dario,

Try this BMW part number: 51148164924

It's a 3D roundel 58mm that is for the boot/trunk lid for cars but also used on many other vehicles including motorcycle top boxes.

It's not the cheapest roundel but is perfect for the engine cover as its the correct size with self adhesive and has 2 lugs on the rear that perfectly align with 2 holes you'll find within the recess of the engine cover. No hassle and looks quality when on.
