Hello (or "Grüss Gott") from SE Florida

After a BMW hiatus on a Triumph Tiger 800xc for a few years, 1150 R before that, since yesterday I'm back aboard with a Scrambler.

A 5mos-old used one about 150 mi away, with a mere 400 mi on the clock, ASC, heated grips and spoked rims (the latter I probably wouldn't have bothered with had I bought new) – was too good to be true at a 20% discount. Hard to beat... despite my local dealer (family owned and great people) probably not being too happy with me. But that discount leaves some money for a better saddle (or more beads, which I love) and thicker grips.

I ride mostly in South Florida, but when I rent a bike also in NC (Triangle area) and Munich ("Grüss Gott" being a typical Bavarian greeting, translates to "Greet God") I look forward to meet some of you on the road.

Toby

Welcome! I am in Boca Raton too. Might have seen you one time on A1A in Ft. Lauderdale..not sure though. Just happened to see another 9T with the aluminum seat cowl last week on my way back from Key West just south of Miami. Other than those two I have not seen another in the 6 months I've had mine.

-Maybe ill see you around!

Was that addressed to me?

If I were 10 or 20 years younger . . . and had a lot more money . . . I would move back to Germany. Love it! Love the food! Love the cars! Love the motorcycles. Love the bier! Love the castles! Love the scenery! Besides, in spite of my last name, 3/4 of my heritage is German. (Rheinland Pfalz)

I would love it if I could travel back and forth to München like our new member, Parkblu, I would be in 7th Heaven.

But Parkblu does get up to North Carolina which is the next best thing.
