My dealer told me the NineT will have an aux port (US models) but it cannot be used for charging the battery. It will only take an input for one hour or less and is specifically designed to be an Output Port for accessories. Truth or fiction?

I have always installed a fuse block on my bikes to connect whatever I want without worrying about the bikes built in system. On my GTL I use a PDM 60 and one of the leads is for my battery tender. I have used Eastern Beaver 3 circuit to the PDM 60 on my bikes depending upon how much I plan to connect.

My (German) dealer told me upon my request that the OEM BMW battery charger will work with the port on the 9T.

I use the OEM BMW charger on my F650GS, so it would be great to continue using it on the NineT.

Indeed, it would suck if it had to go to waste and not be used on the Nine T.

Ideally they should make this bike as BMW user friendly as possible. But then again there's only so much they can do.
