Why do some specs state 86 lbs of torque while others state 74 lbs? They're all the same engine

What specs do you mean?
The maximum torque of the R nineT 2016 (E4) is 119 Newton meters at 6,000 rpm as the R nineT 2021 (E5) has 116 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.

Pigdog,
Where are your numbers coming from? BMW or some other source. In the old days there was a dyno company here in Northern California. We loved HP numbers from this guy 'cause he had very small horses in his dyno so you always got lots of them when you made a run.
When asking questions such as this there are so many factors involved that all the information must be there to give a proper answer. Which specs,what year which model motorbike not to mention what year ??????????????????

From the 2018 Manual...

110 hp (81 kW), at engine speed: 7750 min-1
86 lb/ft (116 Nm), at engine speed: 6000 min-1

Sorry I was misinformed. My r nine t standard does infact have 86 foot pounds of torque. Guess I really stepped in it this time

Maybe you were thinking torque at the Wheel as opposed to Engine torque?
