Guys,

Thanks for warm welcome!

All I know is this:- I have got my order in with BMW Motorcycles of Baton Rouge. The new bike sales guy there (Clark) told me there is an US dealer meeting next week and the Nine T is on the agenda.....probably!

He wouldn't be drawn on price but he did take a punt on a February delivery. He say he will call me when he knows.

That's what I can tell you, 'cause it's all I know. When I find anything else out I will be posting be assured.

Keep the rubber side down!

Welcome :)

Since you have been driving in so many countries, is driving a bike different from one country to another ?
The only countries I can really say I know about from a bike riding perspective are Australia and the US. Have done plenty of miles in both and through plenty of states and territories.

Not much difference, except side of the road of course! I always ride as though they are all out to get ya! I love motorcycles and I also love having the proper number of arms and legs. You got to keep your wits about you wherever you are that's for sure!

I suppose one of the main differences is in climate. Sometimes in some places it gets real hot. So done a lot of riding in my shirt sleeves, not much good if you come off.

There are also different perceptions about lane splitting. Here in Louisiana it's a no no, in California it's normal practice (last time I was there anyway).
