OK, I'm a happy camper again.
The sadness is gone.
My dealer sent me an email without text, just a single picture of my bike in the back of their shop just a few minutes ago... :D:D:D

It just came off the truck!

I'm gonna leave it there till Saturday, so they can call others on the list to come and ogle it.

Congrats Bonk! I've got my fingers crossed that that mine will show up tomorrow. After 2 weeks of delays due to weather in the North East it's getting hard to bear. Of corse we are expecting a snow storm over the next 2 days. At this point I just want to sit on the da.mn thing and sign the paperwork. Be sure to post pics and your thoughts on your new mistress.

Awesome!

Congrats, like I said before, you have more patience than me....

Mine is "in transit".

but I did get the heated grip switch and the right side heated grip today for my 9T...

I should have mine by this weekend either way... maybe a meet up and dual break-in ride is in order this weekend.... I live a few miles from the Rock Store, a perfect place to run in these bikes as you know.

It's good "patient" karma that brought you your bike this week for sure. :D

Not me, I want the exclusivity. When I show up at the pub for EU bikers night, I don't wanna be wearing the same dress as the other girls!
+1 with rkevwill :p

.... got my VIN nr today YAY! :D:D:D:D:D

There's only gonna be ONE in Tassie until maybe someone puts down a deposit on subsequent production runs .... she can shine for a couple of months and warm the cockles of enthusiasts during the cold & wet winter

Its somewhat hilarious, to hear some comments locally through the grapevine. Some of these guys who are in line, are long time bike riders (mostly BMW and Ducati), and I know them from Porsche, BMW, Mercedes clubs, business, my auto and home insurance agent (also now my NineT) and my Dentist! They are floored when they hear I am the one with the first bike, and a bit envious. Feels good :)

Mine arrived yesterday and I have already seen it at the dealer. The papers are signed and I will pick it up today!!! Hurray!

As for a gathering in SoCal, I will be at the Rockstore on Mulholland Sunday morning between 10:00-12:00 or so - anyone care to join?

Joe, glad to see you'll be a NineT owner, I look forward to the mods, the stellar pictures, and all that you do in sharing your riding. I'm still fond of my R12, not ready to change yet. But, my brother is getting his NineT this week - so I look forward to many riding opportunities of my own. Glad you are keeping the R12 in the family :).

I guess I'll have to try the same approach. I have been waiting for over 2 weeks now since the original delivery date, again today I waited for the call from the dealer, it never came. Another storm rolled in today, so I guess I'll just try to put it out of my mind. With the road conditions and the cold I probably won't be able to ride it for over a month anyway. Ample time to build my own tail tidy kit :)

Bonk, looks like you are getting yours before me. When I paid, did registration and got my overview today, we scheduled delivery. I am pretty much unavailable rest of this week, so they are delivering mine wednesday the 19th at 10am. Thats really a good thing, as I can continue to clean and prep my garage. (Hey, I found that small torque wrench I haven't seen in years!)

BTW, many here know I have been whining and worried about height, balance, my recent inexperience etc. While they were doing paperwork, I was sitting on the bike, checking things out, flat footed, and talking to an acquaintance in the showroom. I found myself gesturing with my hands, and simply rocking right to left without hands, as comfortable as I've been riding it for years. Kinda surprised me I was that comfortable. The balance is great for me. Can't wait!
