I will be on my way very soon today and if it's not to busy like wasps around honey, I will get some shots but I think most know by now the shape colour and design and there's plenty of close up shots on here already ,but it will be great to see it in the raw and get a feel for it on board :D:D

Don't forget to have a little whinge about the wheel issue to the UK PR team . . . .

Can you have a look and an ask about the air ram on the right hand side and see how removeable it is please?
It is my least favourite part of the bike.

Please can you try and get a feel of how far they intend to let us modify while under warranty? I asked my dealer about this and he didn't really have much of an answer.

At the very least, enjoy standing there amongst the admiring onlookers knowing you're one of the first, I know I would be if I were you :)

I'm going on Thursday with 2 R1200RT pals, one of whom has ordered the new watercooled model.
Am I the only member here that likes the spoked wheels? If it had cast wheels I wouldn't have ordered one. So for my sake don't rock the boat!

I love the spoken wheels, like on my GSA. For me the spoken wheels are more important than tube/tubeless.

I love the spoked wheels too :) Just seems daft to have tubes on a modern bike . . .
(yes, I know, its meant to be retro, they're more costly to produce, blah blah)

However it's another source of information, if he gets any.

Uk bike show nec

Well I've been I've seen and I've returned ;):D
The 9T is everything I wanted it to be and glad I'm no bigger than I am or it would be the wrong bike for me :D,if your over 6ft you may struggle for leg room:rolleyes: if your gangly:D
In its factory state to me it looks good and I have some ideas of things I will change or adapt over time ,but it will be worth waiting to see what comes from other fabrication manufactures first ;)
I sat on the model you weren't allowed to sit on as the show bike was absolutely
swamped with with people waiting to take a seat on it ,just as I thought so took advantage of the bike on the plinth :D
I purposely didn't take any pictures to post as it's been done to death already an all the angles covered, so sorry everyone's got the jist of what they've put their money on and it's better to view in the raw ,then you get to see its real finish .
It's far smaller in all ways than the R1200R but then it's been styled to be a roadster and that's exactly what it is and a very  one ;):D
As usual no more info to be had on anything that may come out of the woodwork in the next few months from BMW here
Travel space is limited so a 40ltr roll bag is going to be my choice so I can enjoy the ride and corners it was designed for without trying to hide the bike in luggage ,less is more as they say :D
All in all I love the styling and finish of the components and more than look forward to march 2014 ;):D
