A classic Black Storm Metallic paint finish with contrasting silver and metallic highlights was chosen to complement the character of the nineT.

This was found on the motorrad site. Nothing has come up yet for another color option though

I think the only colour that's going to be available as a stock colour is the one offered.
You can always change to your desired colour once you have the bike and put your own stamp on it ??

I checked as well and looked all over the place. They are just mentioning silver and no specific color code or name for the flake

Custom paint is an option to seperate your NineT from others, I am not sure whether I'll be going that route. We'll have to see when I get my butt on it

Believe me I fully enjoy changing the look of my bike, as can be seen by my GTL. I was just curious if the flake color was something more interesting than silver.

I guess your in to the details right. The paint is an important part of the bike I am sure everyone can agree.

Do you plan to custom paint your NineT or will you leave it as it is?

Stripping the paint off the tank and buffing it and then some pinstriping is what I am thinking at this time.

You'd think that BMW would have to put out a Estoril blue version of the nine T though. BMW also does want people to mod the bike, so maybe only offering one color is part of trying to encourage people to do some of the work themselves.

I rather not have that. I think a bike like the R NineT needs more classic colors or colors that give you the same feeling the current color scheme does.

Which would be handy if BMW released them. Even a dealer will tell you the best you can do is pull a trim piece and have it matched on a paint shop computer.

Since I found it on a dealer info sheet, I wonder why none of us had this info already. This does not look like a new information release, thanks (not) to all those dealers we've been asking the same question.

As stated a few posts back, BMW does not release paint codes. Your only option is to have it matched on a paint shop computer. Pull the front mudguard and take it to a professional to have it matched.
