BMW has announced that it will be revealing the much-anticipated NineT anniversary air-cooled boxer streetfighter on October the 16th at the 2013 EICMA in Milan Italy. The NineT is likely to be the last BMW bike to use the air-cooled boxer engine that has been used by the company for the past 90 years.

There are competing rumors about what the look of the bike will be. Early rumors claimed that the BMW NineT would draw cues from the Roland Sands Concept NineT, but spy shots show that BMW is taking a different approach. It is likely that BMW will steer clear of fitting the NineT with the retro front fairing of the concept Ninety.

Found this picture too, not sure what it is though. A poster perhaps? Maybe just a web infographic.

I can't believe there is less than one wek till this retro streetfighter makes its way in to the lime light. As we all have seen the Concept 90 by Roland sands rumors say that they might be keeping some of the features and small details. Just don't know what it'll be but with the silhouette of the Nine T in the poster it shouldn't be too different. The only change is the retro front fairing I think....

It's too bad that they will likely be getting rid of the front fairing. That is the most defining part of the concept bike. Do you think it will be offered as an aftermarket part? If you get the NineT in the same orange color and buy a retro front fairing separately you could basically make the concept bike (at least in looks.)

Tomorrow is the big reveal so all questions will be put to rest then. It really is too bad that they won't keep the front fascia since I think that is what is most iconic about the concept design. It's not like that part would be super expensive to put into production either.

I hope we get to see some test drive footage along with the unveiling. Back tomorrow to post info on the reveal. Stay tuned...

Can't believe tomorrow is the big day, I've been waiting for this for a while!
Now I kind of regret coming across this thread, might not be able to sleep tonight haha.
What would help is if BMW did some live streaming of the unveiling.
