Actually, that’s all still quite reasonable. I thought it would be double the value of the bike by now! Looking forward to see the assembly!

I do get the hint, but unfortunately currently am doling out big $$$ for 3 graduating boys‘ rewards and another 2 incoming US college expense bills. Compared to having teenage kiddos, live as a RNineT owner is almost a breeze…

I hear you, luckily only have two to support and the uni fees are not as bad here in NL as they are in the US! No worries! I am sure you will be there in spirit!

@Chopper_Bob Great news that your bike is ALMOST home! :) I actually think that you must be close to being able to build a second 9T with all the parts you are going to be taking off your new bike! ;)

Actually, there is not much coming off! Handlebars incl mirrors, rear parts, side reflectors and the gauge,... the rest is all add on,... gaining some weight in the process...

I have just ordered the Atlas 36l topcase and rack with the BMW lock adapter. Looks like getting the lock matched to the ignition key looks fairly easy, did it take long to do?

No, you have to make sure you get the right lock! But it took less than 10min for the first lock to do, it is really easy! There are a number of videos on u-tube that explain the process!

Installed the SW-Motech centre stand (nearly..) still need to get the spring on!! that will be fun...

Also need to see if I can replace that 8.8bolts, it is fully threaded M8, I just don't like the look of that...

Observations:
  • SW-Motech instructions show that a bolt needs to be removed from the engine block, this bolt was not there, which confused me a little.
  • The clamp w/bolt on the exhaust clamp needed twisting around, that prevented the stand from fully closing.
  • There is a tube that hangs down from somewhere that is tie-wrapped to the cross member. need to make sure that it sits on the outside of the SW-Motech brackets (Will take some pictures later).
Otherwise fairly straight forward install

I found the same when fitting a Wunderlich stand to my R Nine T. I take it they supplied a bolt, they did with mine and it goes a long way in.

Good to see, now your grooving. Enjoy the miles of smiles, but what was that 3 wheeler hiding in the background?
Some times removing the pivot bolt and connecting the spring, if there is enough play gives better leverage on the spring and put the pivot bolt back in.
Nice duds by the way, what brand are they?

that 3 wheeler is an Carver (see carver.earth), it is an electric vehicle I use for commuting, dirt cheap to run!!

I'll try that with the pivot bolt, if I can't do it otherwise.

Not sure what you mean by duds? @Fez

Duds is a reference to the pants you are wearing on your new bike. I'm in the market for a new pair of trousers and hope I get it right the first time.
