Now available from several sources. Made in Italy. I’ve ordered one for my bike through a trusted UK Wunderlich dealer. I’ll review it here once delivered and fitted.

The above link will help regarding ease of fitting, as far as ease of use, I have no problems with mine and I'm only 5'7" tall.

Hope this is usefull to you jjciii
Ive had one on for a while.
They are harder than most other stands Ive had on other bikes to use. Need a fair old heave to get bike on and Im a big sturdy lad.
The quality and fit is good.
They are great for in the workshop.
I hardly every use it when Im out and about riding.
Would I buy again, dont think so, id make do with the workshop stands that hook into the two engine locating holes, only issue is that the sump plate has to come off to use this temporary type.
I wouldnt remove this centre stand now Ive bought and fitted it though!

As an example I have a honda vfr750 and that nearly falls onto its centre stand with no effort and I do use that when out and about.

Thanks for the opinions on the manufacturing & use of the stands
Nearing my 12K mile maintenance schedule and want to do as much on my own as I can. Need to get the rear tire off the ground to change the final drive oil and lube the spline. Looking at all the options... center stand is likely my best fit.

I simply bought a small bike jack - does exactly the same thing and a great deal easier than fitting a centre stand .

Thanks for the step by step install photos on the web
Has anyone fitted the centre stand that Wunderlich now produces? if so,what is your opinion on the stand and fitting?
I just fitted it to my R9T/5- fairly straightforward install although the instructions were incorrect; looks good, works.
Unfortunately it scrapes badly on moderate cornering and I am enquiring about getting a refund for my AUD610 as it is clearly not fit for purpose. We'll see what they say.

wow, I fitted one on my Pure, and so far it isn’t hitting anything. I got the one from Xray . However I will say, they used some pretty crappy quality bolts. I had to replace at least two of them for better quality stainless steel ones.

I think you'll find it's quick-rusting Italian steel...

“Rusty”: come on, you keep bringing up this stuff, but seem to be the only one having this rust issue. I understand Irish weather, but if one has these conditions, it can be taken care off easily, as I’ve said before:
I’d like to chime in here. I have had the same issue on my 20 year old 1150GS. Of course this part is extremely exposed, not only to rocks and debris, but to water, salt etc. The more the bike is used off-road or in “Irish conditions”, the more it’s an issue. I’d recommend to use a vinyl wrap or any kind of other protective material as long as the part is fairly new. Just like I’d always wrap the front of a car when I know I’ll use it hard and still care about the looks.
It would cost you literally 5 bucks to fix it. Maybe a bit more now that yours has been exposed for such a long time, but if one takes care of this right away, it’s a non-issue. I’ve shown you a solution in the other thread (“Central Stand...”)

So I got in touch with Wunderlich Australia and they were great, contacted Germany about it. Apparently they are aware of issues the /5 does have with the centrestand. They offered me a refund but I managed to work out a solution: I rotated the exhaust clamps to sit on top of the exhaust and made a ~5mm thick bushing/bumper (that the stand rests on at the right side when folded) using a soft plastic furniture slider and M6 BMW screw. The standard bumper is about 2.5cm high, way too big to allow enough clearance when turning hard. Very happy now!

I can explain more detail and give pics if anyone needs to know how to sort this issue.

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to get a center stand to help out with servicing the bike, as well as to take the wheels off so I can dump the Karoo 3s (dealer wants 570 to take the bike in and replace tires for me). I’m looking at the wunderlich stand but noticed that the SW mototech one is almost half the price. Anyone have any experience with these or know the differences? Thanks!

I've moved your post to a thread that deals with center stands. Using the search tool you'll be able to refine your search even further. Also note that a company called X-Ray produce the Wunderlich stand - this will help with your search.

Hey @Dauphinais Ray, I notice that the entire thread named “central stand…” isn’t accessible anymore. I believe there was lots of valuable info to be found there, incl. Installation details etc. Can you revive that, pls? https://www.ninetowners.com/threads/central-stand-for-bmw-r-ninet-family.141739/page-3#post-1072766

Hey @Norbi - I can't locate this thread either. Might need @BaldyDave to use his super powers to look under the hood on this one.

Bit of a strange one this...... I'll see what I can do.

UPDATE

Ok Initial investigation seems to point to this thread having been the subject of at least merges with two other threads, in effect combining 3 threads into one. Running theory is that the link @Norbi has supplied won't work as the thread originally pointed to has been merged into this one, therefore the hyperlink as no target any more.

I'm going to add MERGED to the title of this thread.

Please Private Conversation me if you have more information that doesn't support this. Don't want to derail this thread.
Ended up purchasing the center stand from Holan.pl. Looks to be the wunderlich version for around 200 euros and they ship to the US. All in all came out way cheaper than Wunderlich US, definitely worth a look

The site admins did most of the work and deserve the credit, I just did a bit of digging around.

The thread @Norbi refers to is linked to below:
