Git my kit today... run/brake with external Rizoma signals and license light/holder. Incredible quality, easy plug and play, super design. Should be for the price, but no complaints here. Called Sal once, and even texted him after he’d left the shop. Great customer service. Very pleased.

The Rizoma plate light does not illuminate my plate well, but it’s the only lighting I’m not satisfied with and I’m not too worried about the laws inability to read my plate. ?

I keep looking at this but I just can't justify the cost when an LED tail light assembly costs more than an upgraded rear shock/spring assembly. I know this is made in house and the tools are expensive with the extremem costs associated with where you are located but that's just outragious for what you get. I can see $350-400 as a high end for one but the benefits just don't seem to outweigh the cost here. I know this isn't the place to complain and please don't look at it as a complaint. I just feel like the BMW owners are getting gouged on the prices of aftermarket parts compared to many other bikes sold in similar numbers. I'm not new to manufacturing, design, nor production so I'm not just some nobody out there who can't afford the parts. I can afford it, I just can't justify the cost.

I tend to agree, premium price tag. I told my wife $200, which raised eyebrows and a funny look.
I went for the brake option only due to laws in Australia, where the blinkers can't be part of the break light.
There is no plug and play, had to take the fairing apart and had to remember my silver soldering skills.

At the end a awesome product, with a very "awesome" price tag.

I paid $670 with built in tag hangar and Rizoma turn signals. An Ohlin rear shock assembly is over $1,000.

It was good of you to choose one of the most expensive rear shock assemblies out there, but there are a few that are less than what you paid for your tail tidy. I'm just trying to provide some feedback but I'll leave this be as I have no reason to continue an arguement that doesn't have a reasonable ending.

The aluminum CNC plate is unnecessarily overcomplicated (Pricey) when you could have just had a flat plate and saved all that time designing that part. Then the back piece is curved so I completely understand the need to design that properly to hold the LED strip that is available for purchase on many sites for $10. Something seems off to me here, I just wanted to provide some feedback but I'll go on my merry way now.

It's probably not worth comparing the prices of a rear shock Vs a tail tidy kit tbh, just like comparing the price of tyres to paint work really. If someone wants a tail tidy it's about improving the (subjective) looks and there are several nice options out there, with many considering the Daedalus kit to be one of the better quality kits - and quality can sometimes come at a price. The FBT kit looks good and I would have considered that kit as it is tidy as ****, but the Daedalus kit is the one I personally want as it is fairly clearly on another level of quality and is slightly better in appearances - afterall, a tail tidy is about looks I suppose ;)

When I went for the Daedalus I also considered the bike it was going on. I can’t see putting “ thrifty” parts on such a well made bike. Not sure I’d put that kind of money into a mod for a certain make of bike that sports a lot of chrome plated plastic.
Yep agree with you Ken. The FBT version just didn't look quality enough for me, while the Daedalus was perhaps even better quality than OEM. The Daedalus lower lip sits a bit lower than the FBT however, it would be great if they could make a part to cover the frame. I have posted asking if this is something they might consider: https://www.ninetowners.com/forum/daedalus/137219-rear-frame-cover.html

If they can, this would be so nice on my Racer especially as the silver frame sides look a bit ordinary below the seat.

Just got mine installed and it looks great. Just 2 thing I don't see noted in this thread:

- turn signals flash a little faster than stock. I went from bulb to this led, so its not a total surprise.
- the Rizoma license plate holder doesn't illuminate the plate very well. I can see getting pulled over by a cop having a bad day.

Still, not gonna pull it off now. It looks fantastic.

UK Daedalus Supplier

Dear All, I'm a new member to this forum as my son and I are about to jointly buy and use an R9T Racer Sport here in the UK. I've been reading about the customisation many members have adopted and a tail tidy seems fairly high on our agenda too. I have learnt from the forum threads that I can't legally use a combined stop/tail and indicator configuration, but I still think with separate indicators the Daedalus set-up seems superior to other competitors. Anyone help with info on sourcing here in the UK? Thanks.

Recently purchased a tail tidy when in America recently and one for my mate - they look awesome BTW and the quality was great (reminded me of Rizoma packaging and presentation - 100%). When we installed them, we got an error - which has previously discussed on this forum before. We disabled the Club S brake light which was causing the overload (under instructions from Sal) and it solved the problem. Sal also promised the boards would be replaced so that they could work as promised. (note this is only an issue with the 2018/19 model). I have tried to contact them and my recent emails have gone unanswered - crickets.

Anyone received the upgraded board from Daedalus yet or had the same customer service issues?

Photo of the bike below - custom paint, two bros comp exhaust, Rizoma mirrors & front fairing, club s and club indicators, Ohlins shock, K&N filters and of course - Daedalus tail tidy and plate kit.
