Given that the 9T and R1200R (2014) have identical engines and ECU, could the DynoJet for the R1200R be used on a 9T? I think their fuel maps are probably identical too.

Thoughts appreciated!

According to a tuner here in Atlanta they are working on it before the end of the year, but I am sure we have some enterprising individuals that are working this out.....
I spoke with DynoJet and they said they have no test bike. Nothing is happening other than retailers adding the part number for the PC-5 unit on their websites.

I see RevZilla has a pre-order for shipping end Oct for 9T DynoJet PC, but the product hasn't even been developed.

I'm fairly confident the unit for the R1200R will work fine. I am just concerned that when the 9T PC is released that the maps won't be able to be loaded onto the R1200R PC unit?

Yeah they are supposedly getting a bike over to shop in California. He did specify it's different than 1200. Said software algorithm changed. That's all I know as a messenger.
This is what I had back from their lead tech:

We have not made anything for this bike model. We have never seen one for product research and development. We would like to as soon as it is possible.

I don’t know how Revzilla came up with that time frame estimate; but it is not accurate. As I said before, we haven’t even seen the bike yet. Once we’ve seen the bike and can determine whether a Power Commander for it can be built with existing hardware or if new hardware has to designed to make a completely new unit, we might have a more accurate estimate; but as of right now, we cannot even anticipate a release date until we can actually get our hands on the bike and see what it entails.

I have a PCM5 dyno tune on my bike. Needed it after installing the RSD header/exhaust combo as the stock map made for too lean a condition otherwise. I have the dyno charts but not the program to open them so can't post. I'd happily forward them via email if someone here can and post them?

Awesome thank you!! Wonder how this compares to the native tune out there discussed on the other thread. My tech said with dyno loss factored stock hp/tq was on the button with a gain of 4-5hp on 91 octane so this looks about right.

But also the baseline on this is not stock it's after installing the header/exhaust so I'm really unsure what if any gains I have over stock with cat on this specific bike only after optimizing post mods
True. So only mods are catless headers and sports muffler...no air filter mod?

i am a bit confused, power commander says they dont have a date for this bike yet but you have a power commander 5 tune installed?
meaning, power commander has no stock maps yet but their generic gadget can be used?
how much all up did you have to pay for electronics tune and so on?

The PC for any of the R1200x models can be used, as the hardware is common. A custom map can then be made for the 9T. Worthington BMW in Gosford NSW specialise in DynoJet maps (http://www.sydneydyno.com.au/)

I have an un-official response from the manufacturer that OTS maps from the R1200R would highly likely be good for the 9T.

The hardware is around $300USD. Waiting to get quotes on custom tune.

The hardware was around $500 and the live tune on the dyno, labor erc was out the door around $1000 ($500 of that hardware)
Yeah, in Oz $750 for tune, $400 for PC-V hardware. OTS maps for me.
