Hey chaps. Thought I would share my experience do far with DWR

Took my bike there on Tuesday Dave Junior really nice and helpful chap got stuck in right away and was very enthusiastic !
1st Dyno done and it came back at 109bhp and 113Nm torque. Ecu removed and map read, sent off to Italy to de-code ( as my bike runs with latest oem software ) unfortunately decoding did not come back in time to remap ecu. I am going back there on Saturday to finish it what we have started. Must admit looks a lot more promising than Hilltop and they have actually did a proper dyno and removed the ecu unit. Will post an update and gains shortly.

Looking forward to seeing the result when the bike gets mapped. Oh and I've moved your post to the Engine Tuning and Performance section as this is most definitely what your post is all about... ;)

Sounds promising as you say.
I'm going to presume 109hp is at the crank not at the wheel?
No the 109 hp is at the wheel. Crank values are only measured in the factory prior engine installation in the machine. Once engine is installed everything is measured at the wheel.

Hey Dom, thanks for the detailed info, I’m really looking forward to hear the result of your tuning as I’m thinking about it as well.
Also, off-topic question, what’s that seat you’ve got installed there?
I’m looking for a 2 up seat that is more comfy than the OEM for longer rides, but I’d also like to keep a nice look especially at the back with my Daedalus tail tidy.
How’s that seat for longer rides?
Do you have any pic from the side?

thank you!
Corrado

Please correct me if I've got this wrong......

Am I right in thinking your bike was dyno'd with 109BHP and 113Nm at the wheel BEFORE it was mapped?

Yes that is correct and I was quite pleasantly surprised with the results myself. It has had few modifications perhaps it did help

Re-map and 150 mile ride done and dusted.
Really pleased with the results although on paper there is not much difference.
See printout below

Things I have noticed so far:

Throttle is very smooth

No more twitching/clunking low speeds

Far easier to carry pillion

More pops low revs especially slowing down

Shifting more fluid helps acceleration

Not quite sure if there is noticable power increase but it is certainly much more enjoyable to ride 😊

That's interesting.
The way I look at it you have to take certain things with a pinch of salt and work it out for yourself. Some guys had HT done and happy with it some are not.

Here is my experience and nothing to do with what I have heard from David Wood this morning

2 weeks ago I have bought akro catless headers on ebay and went to collect them to Essex. Met this lovely old boy called Derek. He used to be member of this forum and has recently sold his r9t hence the sale of the headers. He also had "remap" done by HT and was very happy with it. Now the most interesting part of it is that he has been told by HT now his bike runs at 140bhp as catless header and his invisible map increases power by 30bhp. And sad part is old boy took it as gospel and I just did not have a heart to tell him otherwise especially when I have gained 3 bhp and couple of ponies using exactly the same headers
