Thanks! That's the Rizoma Club L, We think it's a perfect match for the kit. We have a partnership with Motovation now; we can buy the Rizoma signals, wire them up, and include them in the kit so everything is plug and play!

@mark9T they are just turn signals (off or amber only). We have been thinking about offering the Club S's which are brake/running/turn signals as well, they are just a bit more involved to wire up. If there's enough interest though, can be something we also offer.

Thanks!

In all honesty I think the LED strips are plenty bright enough to not need combined brake/running/turn lights as well. In some countries they might not be legal as well. Certainly aren't in the UK.

I much prefer the look with the external indicators, but thats just my opinion.

Well done on a neat and classy solution, @[email protected].

I would be interested in rear (& front) turn signals that offer additional functionality.

I have aftermarket signals by Custom Dynamics on my Sportster. The rear signals are red rear running lights, red rear brake lights, and amber turn signals, all in the original OEM housing. The front signals are white running lights and amber turn signals in the OEM housing. I really like the additional light footprint front and rear.

Is that what you might be able to offer for the rears with the Club S? If so, you might consider offering the fronts signals that are white driving lights when not blinking amber as turn signals. Is that something you could do?

Another question: I have this Sargent Storage Pod on order. Would your tail tidy be compatible with it?

Hey @alienbogey sorry about the late reply!

With the Club S we would be able to do just that, running/brake/and turn coincidentally with the integrated turn signal tidy. The wiring is much simpler that way with the integrated tidy rather than with the solid red strip that's included with this particular unit.

I suppose it could be wired as well to have our tail tidy just be brake/running light and the Rizoma clubs be brake and turn... the harness would be a little awkward but it's certainly possible!

In terms of the front signals as driving lights, I haven't played around with those at all. I suppose if you wanted something like that you'd have to tap off of the running light for the headlight to make that work?

At first glance (haven't had my hands on one) it looks our tidy would fit with that Storage Pod, but I can't really speak to how well it will line up. The contour at the rear looks a little different and not sure what, if any, gap will look like between the pod and our tidy. You're definitely welcome to be the first to try!

Thanks

Hi Dave, when you mention LED strips not being legal in the UK could you elaborate please? I'm about to do it and don't want to build an illegal setup. Is it just the turn signals that make them non compliant or is there more? I agree with you about external turns looking better so no worries there. I plan to do a double running/brake strip only with club indicators.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can throw my way.

I have limited knowledge of this, but integrated tail light/turn indicators are illegal in the UK. There is undoubtedly some rule stipulating the distance the turn indicators have to be separated from the brake/tail light but I don't know what this is. I'm just hoping that come MOT time this July that I have the spacing right!

Looking on the bright side, I haven't been pulled by the police yet! ;)

If you want a definitive answer it's probably best to speak to an expert your local MOT test station.

I don't think there is a legal spacing requirement but what they will get you on is the operation being interfered with by another light source.

Motorbike MOT Test Manual 1.5 Direction Indicators

"Check that the illumination of the indicators are not affected by the operation of any other lamp"

You could argue that the integrated turn sig's in the LED taillight are affected by braking for example, so it's just not worth the hassle, that's why I run separate indicators on the rear.

That's where the external turns come in nicely, if you were to run them with something like Rizoma Club L's (turn only) then they would be your dedicated signal source and the LED strip does all the braking duty!

^^^ This is exactly what i am trying to /need to accomplish before inspection time.

I have the integrated signal tidy was wondering if you have a wiring diagram you could send me, or sell the wiring harness separately? I am not adverse to slashing at wires blindly if i can buy a new one, as i have a pair of Club S indicators I've been too lazy to think about until now.
