I made this graphic in order to get the piece made at the muffler shop for cheaper than wonderlich. I saw on the site someone posted something this but it was hard to find as was buried in the thread. I believe it is correct but haven't made it yet....thoughts?

I made them for both my bikes, same dimensions as you have but no step in the middle, nor was it required, just looks prettier but once in place whose looking? Here'

IMG_1588.JPG s a pic of the one in my 1200 GS Adv, once the clamps are tightened as normal nothing wants to move around. I put the untidy looking witness marks on just to watch for any movement, that was over a year ago and still the same as when I put it in.

Thanks so much for the reply and based on your photos, I now see why it is raised in the middle. What rear shock is that? I see the bottom is adjustable unlike the stock which is a little screw head. Thanks again for the reply. Safe riding

Great info. Someone should take this to their local muffler shop and have them produce a batch of 20 and then sell it here

I did this back in 2019 and as of today, it's still on my bike without issues :D

As mentioned this pic is on my 1200Adv, identical set up to my r9t. The rear shock is a Wilbers manual adjust, likewise I have a Wilbers in the front. I removed the perfectly working electronic adjust factory suspension at about 25,000 klm. and fitted the manual Wilbers, much much better. Also have similar Wilbers in the rear of my R9T.
