Nine T has only Reboundadjust ;-) ... but only in the back .... ;_((((
But therefore it has tube weels and no electronic gear adjustment, for the same price ;-))
Back to the roots .... ****, but i love it ......................

Only i ask me meanwhile , WHY ????????????

The truth is you really don't need the adjustability of an S 1000 RRs forks on the R nineT. Adjustability of front suspension upside down forks is much more important with a more steep rake angle. Adjustability is good but fairly unneeded in this situation.

Sounds like the opinion of someone in FL who doesn't ride mountain roads or do track days.
Let's just say that less adjustability is needed because after all this new bike was not meant to travel at the speeds of the S 1000 RRR: a bike possessing almost twice the horsepower and weighing less

Sophisticated suspensions are desirable on all bikes but I would not expect the exact same configuration of adjustability on this retro-styled motorcycle than I would on the fastest and most agile production sport bike in the world today

same here plus i could care less for it, the S1000RR is a..... S1000RR after all. This is a totally different bike.

Have to agree with NSX. Endured having an R1100R without any front adjustments for 16 years. Big bummer. The ESA on my new Beemer is the greatest thing about it. I am from NC, and even at speeds less than 100 mph, you can have loads of fun in the mountains. Adjustable front and rear suspension takes the riding pleasure quotient up more than just a knotch or two. I am never going back to having NO adjustments. That's for posers.

Just hope you weigh what BMW thinks you should.

Also, BMW says: "The nineT is a modern motorcycle for active riding, with the latest technology , it is not a retro bike."
ah.... you are correct
i NEVER weigh what BMW.... OR MY WIFE..... thinks i should

To be honest, you won't get a negative comment from our friend Clearwater...going by his numerous posts, he just loves everything BMW puts out, without question. Although with Floridian speed restrictions and straight, billiard-smooth roads, I am sure you could ride comfortably on a rigid bike in the 27th State.
Real-world riding in Europe is more fun with adjustable forks to play with. I am a bit disappointed in the lack of adjustment, but I will be experimenting with oil weights in the forks if they don't feel right for me. Probably getting Ohlins for the rear also, although forks affect handling far more than the shock.

1. i'm a moderator. i post a lot because i'm keeping the conversation going
2. i've ridden 250,000 miles EVERYWHERE... so, don't assume what you know about my 35 years of riding experience
3. i've owned every kind of bike and fully understand about what i speak when it comes to suspension/forks, etc

no offense intended
but, i'd be happy to meet you for a ride one day...

I had once a R1200S with Ohlins front and rear. I was never capable of making the right adjustment. :( .
As long as their hasn't been a test ride, I can't say if the lack of adjustment will be a problem.
