Hi there, from Moscow, Russia.

made a deposit for 9T yesterday, planned production - Feb 2014, expected delivery to dealer's showroom - end of March 2014.

main intrigue is that the only possible option is alarm, the rest is "base".
Whan "base" includes - LED turn sights, heated grips, etc. - nobody knows, including dealer it-self.

Hello Becker and welcome :)

I wouldn't be to hopeful to find those two things as standard if I was you.
Led turn lights are on the accessories list and finding heated grips as standard would be the first time for BMW.

this is truth, but these kind of options - heated grips, etc. - awailable for quite a lot of modes, of course not as a part of "base spec", but as extra option.

for 9T, if these things are not in "base", more likely they are not, than I would for sure add them as an options for extra charge to the bike I'm ordering.

the thing is that I cannot do it, the only option I can add is alarm, no other is awaible at current stage.

Hopefully, closer to the Jan-Feb 2014, BMW will unhide the full list of options you can add to the "base".
I would, for sure, add some.

Welcome to the 9T forum Becker;)

As you'll here on this forum that your correct in thinking that the only factory fit extra is the alarm only
All other extras are optional extra accessories available to purchase and most to be retro fitted at your dealership once your bike arrives ,and not at build stage on the line sorry but BMW are building a standard base bike at that price only ,and want you to add your own identity but also you can buy basic essentials i.e heated grips, led indicators ,seats ,seat pods, exhausts ,tank bag ,tail bag ,carbon front mudguard ,carbon front engine cover via your dealer ;)
Check the posts on the site there's plenty of info with lots of input ,enjoy looking around :D

welcome to this fine, growing community
we are very happy to have you here

we are all learning about this new exciting bike on a daily basis

what options will be available at the dealer level remains a mystery at this point
the bike will be almost infinitely customizable
as for BMW offering any HEATED GRIP option... that is VERY unlikely

it's a retro bike
someone might make an aftermarket alternative
we'll have to see

the very best to you and i hope that you'll be an active member here, please

Although i live in Florida I do like heated grips especially on this kind of bike where I will be less protected from the weather. Being able to warm myself up through my hands will come in quite handy when riding my R nineT in the winter here

maybe it will be an option
i hope so

thanks for welcoming.

talked to dealer, tomorrow he will request from BRT (BMW Rusland Trading, the branch of BMW HQ in Russia) the official extended specs of the bike I've orderd, to see what is included into the "base".
Dealer is saying that more likely, heated grips are not included, but LED turn signas, he almost sure, are there...
Once I know, let you know here.

Heated grips are overestimated by far to my opinion. They warm your hands where you don't need it. You get warm palms while you have icecold fingertips.
And when you ride when it's really cold, your gloves are/should be so thick, that you don't even feel them...

I'm with you Gerry. Muffs are the only answer when it dips below 6 degrees C.
I am thinking Tablier for the winter too.
Muffs are the most ugly but the only reliable solution.
Since a few years, I wear mountaineers gloves. To be more specific, ice climbing gloves as theses guys have a very similar problem than we have.
Gloves have to be easy, very warm and waterproof.

heated grips, same as some other options, are not "a must have" of course
as for me, I can leave without heated grips, but I find them quite useful while riding on +15 C and below:

- during city riding, in a city traffic, you have to keep your fingures on the clutch and brake and use them quite active (especially in a traffic jam). Levers are metal, cold, my fingers become very cold and loose sensitivity. Breacking through the jam and putting a fingures back to the heated greeps is a pleasant rescue.

- during the intercity riding, 200+ km distances, it is quite comfortable when palms are warm.

Heated grips at 15 C? I don't even wear gloves at that temperature!
Mind you, if I lived in Moscow, I can imagine they would be useful at this time of the year.
I'm always wearing the gloves while riding, doe not matter what is the outside temperature - it is a matter of protections, if anything bad happens, arms are protected.

may be this is because of the crasy traffic in Moscow

It's grate to be free to wear whatever you want on a bike.
Here in Belgium, you have to wear a helmet, gloves, shoes up to the ankle, a vest with long sleeves and long pants. You forget one of these, it's 50 €. I paid already twice for wearing city shoes.
Sorry for this off-topic.
