Sweet stable of bikes there. Did you swap wheels with the 1200?

The gold rims are the option for UGS here.

It's actually the registration plate, I just blank out the numbers... :)

Where did you get the rear hugger for the Urban GS? Is it a standard BMW hugger from an older R1200GS? Dealer supplied / eBay?

So is that a requirement, or just for looks? (You don't have them on the other bikes).
They stopped using them here many, many years ago; for safety I think!
Now they are only seen as original items on historic bikes.

Got it from the dealer, and sadly not part of the deal... These are the parts number. 20200802_053834055_iOS.jpg

Yes, registration number in the front is required. Though, like you mentioned, this sort of mounting on front fender was widely seen probably one or more decades ago, but not now anymore. I did it more for the look and because there isn't restriction that it cannot be done this way.
