Hi all, proud new owner of R9T, amazing bike. My last bike was a GSXR 1000, so this is somewhat different, not as high strung as the Suzuki but I think way better for cruising around, more comfortable and it still feels feels sporty.

Never had a bike with all these electronics...ABS, traction control, dynamic engine braking etc. so bit of a learning curve. I am going to have to get used to the fly by wire throttle and the engine braking...not used to that.

Overall pretty happy with the bike, I only rode it 50km from dealer to my house. As the dealer is super busy and are booking service 3 weeks in advance I had to book my first 1000km service for June 09, 15 days should be no problem to put on 1000km especially with the good weather we are having. Still sucks that they are so busy that booking an appointment has to be done so far in advance.

Oh well, hope everyone stays safe...watch out for the daydreaming cagers!

Welcome! Gorgeous spec, I really love those cylinder head covers with the 719 color scheme. Congratulations on your purchase!

Thx, it came with both 719 options and the upgraded wheels, pretty happy with the looks.

Have the Evotech tail tidy ordered so that should clean up the ass end.
Hi and welcome to the forum. 👋
My local dealership is very busy and appointments are sometimes way out there. When it came for my 600 mile service I drove to the dealer without an appointment and waited. They squeezed me in in a couple of hours. The joys of being retired! I told my son to do the same thing, he has an 850GSA. He took his laptop and worked from the waiting room.
The fact that the service departments are busy is good I guess...well good for the economy LOL. I guess my thinking is that when someone spends that amount of money, they could make some concessions and try and accommodate the buyer to show their appreciation. Almost seems like the sales department and the service department are two separate entities. That said I am able to change the appointment...I just do not want to be in the position where the motorbike requires the service and I am unable to ride it for fear of exceeding the first service milage and voiding the warranty.
Pretty bike! Welcome from south of the border in WA!

Oh hey buddy! I was there when you left with your bike. Spoke to you for a few moments before I had to go talk to them about taking out the Diavel.

You can always use Shails for service. They are pretty good and some wicked old school BMW bikes for sale

Hello from south of the border in olde Massachusetts.
Lovely Bike 🏍
Congrats on your new R9T and welcome to the forum from Ohio, USA! :)

I got my R9T Pure after long-term ownership of a Honda VFR800, and there was definitely a learning curve to the new bike. But within a week I think I was pretty comfortable with the new machine. It helped that I rode it home from western Michigan the day after I bought it. A nice 360-mile ride to get to know the new bike!

Three weeks' advance booking for an appointment sounds pretty good to me. The closest BMW dealer to me schedules 2-3 months out. It's rather absurd, and has me thinking about using a different dealer in the future, even it they're a little further away.
That looks fantastic. Those 719 covers add some real style to the bike. Wish they weren't so expensive.

I'm pretty sure I saw that bike at High Road when I was in there a few days ago.
Welcome aboard the Crazy Train from rainy Florida.
Lovely looking bike, welcome! :)
