Just bought myself a new full face helmet called the Shoei GT Air.

I read and checked as many reviews as possible before buying this helmet - and by far the GT got heaps of praise!!

Apart from the obvious safety reason, I bought this helmet because of the drop down inner tinted visor and the fact that the GT keeps most of the wind noise out thanks to its design.

I have a snell full face helmet I was required to have for Porsche track days. I'm not sure if that is still good for road use on a motorcycle. Its about 10 years old I think. I do however, have a couple of DOT approved Nolan helmets I purchased for the recent MSF course. One is an open face, kinda retro Half Helmet, and the other is modular, with a full face shield. Once I get used to the NineT enough to really take it on the road, I probably should get a new full face like a Shoei or Arai.

Nice helmet...but $1450 USD?!:eek::eek::eek:??!
Yeah. bit on the ridiculous side. I'm sure the Kardashians will get one.

Already made my choice, as suggested by one of our forum members earlier. Bell Bullitt.

Ordered a Shark Raw in flat black. Should look great with the nineT.

Very cool, but reminds me of flying a fighter jet, or maybe Darth Vader.

Just received notice via UPS. The Bell Bullit has shipped to me from Union Garage. Guess they are getting out there now.

Reach for a pre 1967, as they don't depreciate :) Same could be said of our favorite motorcycles!
Did anyone notice in that video of all those designers checking out the NineT (you know, the very first one, the one with the European designers and the cool blonde chick), one of those guys was wearing a Ruby.

I received my Bell Bullitt today. What a beautiful helmet. Only problem is, it doesn't fit. I wear a Large in a Nolan, but I can't even get the Bullitt over my nose (and my nose isn't THAT big). I'm returning it for an exchange to an XL. Maybe I just have a weird shaped head. I might suggest not ordering one online, unless you are sure of your size in a Bell. Try one on in person.
I'm actually looking at the schuberth C3 modular, if the xl bullitt doesn't fit.
I bought the Schuberth C3 Pro. It's the third Schuberth I have owned in 32 years,so I must have a Schuberth head (and pocketbook).
Fantastic fit and very quiet. The new sun visor is far better than their earlier versions.

I will need a different helmet for BUB at Bonneville, but Snell Approved HJC helmets aren't expensive and I will only be needing it for three miles at a time anyway.

I am NOT riding the Nine T at Bonneville
I really need to get out there to watch the events. Never raced a bike, sure did the 4 wheelers, but never Bonneville. Wonder how the NineT would do with a fairing :) Maybe I could go after the oldest participant record LOL.
Tried on the Schuberth C3 pro today. Very very nice fit, very comfortable. Very pricey. Might get one later on. Either a High vis yellow, or my standard silver. Lots of crazy drivers out there, otherwise I would not even consider the Hi Vis.
After trying the Bell Bullitt, sending it back because of my specific fit, and trying on many other helmets, I've unfortunately decided to get the Schuberth C3 Pro. I say unfortunately, as other than the Ruby, it seems to be the most expensive helmet I have looked at. Yup, its Modular, but it fits me better than any other helmet I have tried. Its so quiet, I might have to drill holes around the ears so I can hear the lovely NineT sounds. Now, I have to decide on my normal Black, Silver, or that extremely bright day glo yellow, for safety reasons. I'll probably go for the black, and have a professional helmet painter here in town paint a wide silver stripe on it. (Hey, there are some advantages to living in the Indianapolis area)
No worries, C3 Pro fits 9T look perfectly.
I'm using black gloss one, quite similar to bike's tank color.
Highly recommend SRC for this helmet - shell has build in antenna for SRC - better radio receive. It really works
Thats what I understand, but my plan is to NEVER answer a phone or chat with another while I am riding. I'm on the phone all day long, so when I'm on my bike, I'm escaping :)

I can understand that :)
You can just turn your phone off and enjoy your ride with AC/DC playing at full volume in the earphones of you SRC ;)

That's what I've experienced today, during my 250 km ride
I can tell you, this is something
Wait, let me think about that. Crashing and getting mutilated, or listening to AC/DC. Hmmm, let me think whats worse. I think I would rather enjoy the quiet, and listen to some CSN when I arrive home! ;)

I bought a 2014 bell Custom 500 in XL. Way too much play in the crown. Exchanging it for a Large. Wow, these helmet makers have different fits. I needed an XL in the Bullitt I sent back. (the one that made me look like a bobble head doll) Like the 500 helmet, hope the large fits. My Nolan in Large fits my wife fine, when she's on the pillion. I'll use the 500 then. I also am considering ordering a Schuberth C3 Pro, as it fits me VERY well, and supposedly has great ventilation. Think I will sell a few things on ebay first, to raise the cash. About 700 or so here in the US. I feel guilty buying all the bike stuff with the "family" funds LOL.
I have a HJC full face and a Orange Flake Bell Custom 500, which I love. I am going to get a Bullitt when I get time to take a trip down to Daytona to pick one up.

I tend to use the Bell most of the time with the full face only on longer trips. The Bullitt will not only be good all around but much safer.
Love the looks of the Bullitt, it just didn't fit me in many ways. Large was too small, XL looked weird on me, and didn't fit quite right. We all have different heads, and if you indeed have the opportunity to try one on, shake it around, look in a mirror, etc etc, its obvious thats the right way to do it. I am totally shocked, that Indy doesn't have a great supplier for Bell. They sponsor all kinds of events with the various races we have here, but I can't find one dealer that has any kind of selection, especially with their newer models. Being a business man myself, if I were Bell, I would have a long talk with the local regional rep about this. Perhaps Bell should open their own showroom over near all the rest of the race suppliers.

BTW, one manufacturer we see very little of here in the US (and especially Indiana) is Davida. They have some very cool open face helmets. http://davida.co.uk
Squid, if that is accurate, and I have no reason to doubt it, that is a serious reason to want full face!
After trying on bunches of different helmets, and wearing out the UPS guy with orders and returns, I finally bought a suitable helmet. Taking into consideration the scolding I kept getting from my son about open helmets, and Squid's graphic, I purchased an Arai Signet-Q. The fit is perfect, where just about everything else I tried on had issues. Got a weird head I guess.

Can't go wrong with the C3 Pro. Wonderful helmet. Just didn't fit me quite well enough. My head's fault, not Schuberth's. Large was too tight, XL was too loose. Coulda customized the cheek pads in the Large, but the Arai fit me so well went with that. Loved the C3 pro, and basically the same price, but we all have such different heads, we gotta go with what fits the best for the individual.

3/4 helmet results

I had to post this pic. While reviewing some helmets, I saw this pic on an HD forum. I have to admit, I am partial to 3/4 helmets, especially for summer riding. After being scolded by my son, some other bike friends, and most of YOU guys, I bought a full face. Here's a pic of a lady who was wearing a 3/4. Note her head is still there, and in good shape, but her face received some damage. Her husband still goes helmet less. She wears a full face now.
