My name is Bob, I'm on the wrong side of forty and I live in the beautiful state of Bavaria.

I've been riding motorcycles for over 20 years now, currently I own a 2011 K1300R and a MZ 660E Supermoto.

The R9T will be my first boxer. I put in my order 2 weeks ago. According to BMW Motorradzentrum she will be delivered mid March 2014.

I guess I will be hanging around here a lot. :D

Welcome Mr Bones. We're a good bunch here, I hope You hang onto that K1300, just to keep You balanced! Cheers.:)
Hallo Franke, willkommen hier.
( one and only sentence in German, but that has to be to welcome a compatriot :) )
Hi Bob and welcome.

How do you like the K1300r?
Fast as **** and to me a beautiful piece of engineering...

But nonetheless she's got to make way for the R9T.

I hope the new bike will be a worthy successor...

Congrats on the order, you're likely going to have one of the first ones here, I believe Germany gets the first right....

Wow.
6-7 months wait.
Lets just hope there aren't any delays.
Thankfully, at least most of north american owners will get their NineT's in time for summer.
Hi,

I am Yaz and R nine T will be my 3rd boxer. I have had the R1200C and the R1150 Rockster special 80 edition. I am from Toronto, Canada.
hello there, I thought 'Moonchild' only existed in movies ..... bit like 'Chainsaw' or 'Sunflower'? ... anyway, welcome to R9T ... but I'm interested to hear the story ... :)
P.S.: do you still have the C?

Welcome aboard Mr.bones!

I absolutley love the K1300R, I got a chance to ride my friends and let me tell you the ESA works wonders. The quickshifter works well too.

Love it!

How's the weather in Bavaria? Are you hibernating like us too lol

Too bad it got push back to june :(
Thx for the late welcome. :)

Yes, the K13R is a fine bike indeed. Brutal power in every gear. The quickshifter is really fun and combined with a race can it gives you kind of a F1 sound while shifting thru the gears.

It's been an unseasonably warm winter over here so far. Today we were 10°C higher than Florida. :D Hope the NE cold doesn't make it's way over the Atlantic...
I just went through a surgery and came back to a huge audience on here. Lots of new members.

I would actual consider one if I had a bit more disposable income but the fiance has everything on lock at the moment. I wish I had more seat time on the K13R but my friend took it back as soon as I stopped to tell him how awesome it is. I had so much funwith the quickshift, shes a beast ;) He's actually thinking about trading it in for the s1000r. What do you think?

So jealous... The winters are too cold nowadays I need to relocate!
I hope you have a speedy recovery from whatever surgery that was.

K1300R vs the S1000R.... hmmm..., I dunno. Guess I would have to ride the S first in order to make a judgement. If I'd only go by the looks I'd have to say the K13R... but both bikes have to offer so much more than only looks, of course... ;)

What part of the world are you from?

gotta have the figure for the S1000R!!

I tested it out, great fun !!!! Especially with that strobe light coming on all the bloody time :p WTH?

.... but after looking at the photos my wife took of me on the bike, I had to agree: with some people it looks like a gorilla cradling two grinding stones

good fun, but only on Symmons Plains Racetrack for me :)
