In the unlikely event the USA product manager is following this forum, and based on what has been written about the bike so far, here's my wish list for the USA spec 9T:

HP2 motor
Ohlins forks and shock
maybe an "S" version?

At a minimum:
2 way damping adjustment (instead of just rebound) front and rear.

I'm pretty sure were getting inner tubes on those wire wheels, which is kind of a shame. GS cross spoke wheels would allow tubeless and would have been way cool. Standard on the RTs sold for cop duty, so they are available as a bolt on in the correct sizes.

I was hoping that BMW would make a more significant announcement about details regarding the nineT at the Milan motorcycle show. That, however, has not happened. I do believe that they will have to deal with this disappointment all across the world about the tubes in the tires. I really hope they will change their mind about this or come up with a viable option before the bikes are released in a couple of months.

No wheel option available spokes only  or buy the alloys you desire and shelve the spoked rims :D
Only extra available as factory fit is the alarm all other extras have to be purchased through your dealer and workshop fitted ,so more expense

that amount of money surely is worth it to me as well. However, and I will state this again, they better come up with some alternative for the wheel/tire fiasco

Wheel option from the factory is spokes only as from the motorrad pictures ,if you want alloys your going to have to buy them separately:rolleyes:
I do know that and I do like the spoked wheel but I'm not putting any tire on any motorcycle I own that has a TUBE in it because this is not 1975. BMW has made an error in judgment in making this bike so retro as to offer a vastly inferior tire/wheel combination. Spokes are fine tubes are not

I do like the spoked wheel, and while I know that the tubed tires are inferior to newer tires, I don't really understand why. What is actually going to go wrong because of these tubes in the tires?

If the price is indeed around $14,000 I think that is pretty fair. People will be willing to spend that on the nineT.

I'm also hoping that BMW gives us some other color choices. Estoril Blue is a must.

Oh yeah, the theme they set out for was great and all but bringing in the spokes might be alittle much... for maintenance that is. I can see a bunch asking for the non-tube wheel combo.

For now we can only cross our fingers. I have thought about it too and if anything does come up it will be after the fact :(
i'm sure you are correct
maybe i'm just nuts about this TUBE deal
who knows
but... one thing is for sure: i am very, very excited this bike

At the risk of hijacking my own thread...not many except you risk of pinching the tube when mounting. Oh and lower speed ratings.

I've only ever had tubeless tires. What is the disadvantage of tubed?
much more difficult to fix in the event of a flat.
To me, if every single other motorcycle manufacturer has abandoned tires with tubes... there must be an infinite reason to do so. So, why has BMW decided to take this giant step backward in tire/wheel technology?
