How do you open the door?

BTW while installing pig tail, noticed that batt replacement will be a chore and riders seat removal requires removing pillion.

The door is just press fit into a rubber mount. Pull forward and it opens

Do you pull at the top? Does it hinge from the bottom?

Pull at the top. There are tabs that hold the bottom in place

Push down and pull towards the front of the bike. Bottom is on hinges.
Not much room inside, 1/2 sandwich and a screwdriver.

Ah, I got it. And mine came from the factory with scratches
