From what I seen and read with the articles on the recent BMW Nine T Concept the engine used might just end up being the same one from the R1200R.

Air oil-cooled flat twin Boxer 4-stroke engine, two camshafts and four radially aligned valves per cylinder, central balancer shaft

With an Akrapovic exhaust not like the one spotted in a Italy gas station but it'll do...

I think you go it right. It's not loud and aggressive but if you know bmw or even go back to the roots you just know the air cooled boxer tone.

I love it, it's a sound thats suitable for the bike,
really can't wait to see it in full and even to hear it tomorrow at it's unveiling.

Chatted with the dealer today and he mentioned that the tuning on the engine for the 9T will be a little different than the GS and that exhaust sound will be taken up a notch.

welcome news to me as the sound on this video is just a touch tame...nice, just tame...

from what it seems, the nine t will sound as good as it looks...

Hopefully youre right about the tone of the exhaust being a notch up. I like it but just needs to be more refined and slightly louder for me.
