Like a lot of us am very excited about the exhaust option on the right side of the picture above. I've been riding for a long time and I'd like to ask you if you really believe that anything short of an asbestos lining on your inner left thigh will keep your leg from melting when riding the bike with that exhaust setup

Roasted inner thigh a delectable delight among some civilizations! Tastes like chicken, c'mon, it's gonna be fine. Don't you think the folks who are giving us tubed tires have sorted this all out?
i always have been a fan of THIGH MEAT ;)

I'd like to hear how it sounds, for how it's routed differently than the other. the high mounted akrapovic will give it a different tone.

I am sure you still ride it. Looks like there is some plastics on it covering the pipe from heat burning your butt. I would like to have another panel or heat shield add just in case. Would hate to smell bacon burning and realize it's me!

I just personally like being able to see the entire rear wheel especially with the shaft being on the other side. I think it looks awesome but I'm not sure that anyone from BMW or Akrapovic ever rode the bike that way before posting that picture :p

All I could ask for at this point is a meatier tire :D how badass would that be looking at the bike from the rear!

i agree with wallmon about using it.... and with penner about how UNattractive it is
i LOVE the high-mounted akra.... but, i'm about as skeptical as you can be about whether or not you could even RIDE the bike that way.... or just make it a MUSEUM PIECE in THAT configuration

Reason why i can't wait for these bikes to get into the hands of their owners come February-march , there will be some wicked custom NineT's lurking around
i agree with
can't wait to see them
i have always "customized" my GS bikes by FARKLING them
but, this will be something FAR different... almost HARLEY-ESQUE
i'm anxious to see how this all unfolds
