Does this not work on yours purely because it's a 21+ model? Is it fully functional on the older models do you know?
Just to summarise, my bike is a 2018. The DL04 being sold at the moment for models 2017-2020 has very limited options and a very basic firmware. KOSO is now working to update the firmware and include the missing functions. The update they are working on will make the DL04 compatible for newer bikes.
There is a version of the DL04 that is intended for bikes from 2014-2017, but this is not plug and play (comes with an adaptor cable) and I don't know much about its software

Excellent reply carbold. Mines a 2019 so was curious to know. Thanks again.
So watch this space, I'll probably be the first one to send the DL04 back to Germany to get the update, and I'll report back. It's an excellent piece of kit as it is, but the firmware doesn't make the most of the available data at the moment.

Does it show ambient air temps? Is that possible on the 2019 models....?
I did ask this specific question to KOSO Taiwan. I know that the air intake temp is read and fed into the ECU, so I thought that it could be displayed too. The answer was that although the ambient temperature is indeed measured, it is not fed into the wiring of the speedo. So basically it's not available to the DL04 as an input

My wunderlich version has heated grip function.
Awesome, thanks for the confirmation. Tis the season for them. And maybe since WunderlichUSA as their Koso on a Pure w/o heated grips the indicator doesn't cycle on in their display.

I think this is the scenario on the WunderlichUSA grip heater indicator not displaying as they installed it on a Pure w/o option
I’m confused about the quote without option”. Do you mean that the bike did not come with heated grips?
?why would it show on console If you do not have heated grips installed?
I installed factory heated grips on my 2014. As soon as I did the heated grip indicator appeared on my stock console.

Am I missing something here. I often do.

BMW wants to sell you the $800+ tach/secondary gauge setup. Unless you bought a classic R9T. I do agree the single pod looks much nicer/cleaner. And thankfully BMW stuck with the round analog look vs more modern speedo/tach display units on other brands.

In addition to the advantages of custom software mlsdev.com/blog/top-custom-software-development-companies , there are other benefits as well. Unlike legacy systems, custom software will meet your exact needs. It's easy to modify and expand it to meet your business's needs. There's a lot of flexibility in a custom application. It's more secure and reliable than any other kind of software. It will also be able to handle future changes that might occur. Besides, a customized application will provide you with a competitive advantage over the competitors.

I'm following this thread with particular interest, as I've just purchased a second hand Koso DL 04 unit from eBay. The previous owner has informed me, the Koso gauge had no issues displaying in MPH. So I'll guess I'll have to see, when it arrives, otherwise it sounds like it will have to be off to Germany for a firmware update.
