Been raining for a long while and now it's stopped it's really humid and sticky but i decided to go explore some back roads and came across this descent, ruts and washouts from the rain made it a challenge and it's a long way down! the rest of the road wasn't too bad, more ups and downs but not washed away as bad as this big hill. the one behind the bike not the one in front of it...

Looks great Abu Oscar. I tell ya, I'd rather be in Oman than KSA. You have such good landscapes there mate.

Just spent the morning doing a bevel and gearbox oil change. Here's mine with a few add ons it either came with or I've since added.

129657

129658

Came with wundertheychargethismuch sump plate and engine bars and tubeless spoked rims.

Ive added the SW Motech SLC side carrier and universal adaptor for the rotopax fuel cell, Barkbuster guards, Evotech oil cooler guard, wundercash footpeg lowering plates, and Lambland sheepskin seat cover to give me more legroom

Next mods will be suspension, then maybe the wunderlick solo seat and rear rack. And some KC LED driving lights mounted on the crash bars

PS Anybody fitted highway pegs to their Urban crash bars? I need something to allow me to stretch my legs when slabbing it. I see Wunderlick do some for the GS which look like they should work.

I hate how much they charge for those little foot control lowering plates but I might have to bite the bullet and pony up for a set of those. I've raised my bike up with a suspension upgrade so I have lots of ground clearance, and I know my long legs would appreciate it.

Yes, it's a rip off. Two machined and drilled plates and a few bolts. Can't cost more than 10 euro to make all in. I'm in the wrong business lol.

Here's a shot of my UGS at Fundy National Park in New Brunswick, Canada, from a camping trip last summer. I picked the bike up new to me with a bunch of mods on it from a delightful gent in Quebec. He didn't speak English and I didn't speak French which made it a bit interesting!

With coronavirus going around I'm expecting to get laid off any day and will hopefully pack my bike up and go on some adventures once it get a bit warmer out here in Atlantic Canada.

Next mods are:

  • windscreen. I'm looking at the Wunderlich one.
  • sump guard
  • rear mudguard if I can find an old R1200GS one
  • possibly upgrade the front suspension
  • possibly some white Barkbusters
This fourm is such an awesome community full of information and I appreciate the effort so many of you go to to contribute. I'm still learning about bikes so I feel less able to contribute but wanted to say thanks - I'm a better bike owner for it.

Stay healthy, everyone!

Here's a few of mine, bought new in 2017 and made a few changes to it since then..Wunderlich hand guards, rear fender, bar risers, Rizoma club indicators at the back, Rizoma Bar end mirrors, Wilbers rear shock (+15mm), home made number plate hanger, SW Motech Legend luggage.. I'm about to make up some hard luggage for it from a company called The Case Farm who specialise in hard plastic cases (Peli-case type) and attach them to the SW Motech hangers... Will post some pics when done...

Looks great👍 I had the same idea but it stopped when I got bored on trying to figure out the mounting. I have the bmw bags but you’re solution looks great, where did you find the mounting brackets that you put on the bags? Is it the same as bmw?
