Any confirmation that the long pipe (scrambler) position of the single Akra is not an option in the USA die to charcoal cartridge? It is not shown in the USA BMW Motorad website.

Thanks

My dealer says bike will be ordered 21 Feb with delviery ~ 1week

If akra sells it direct, I'm thinking we could just yank off/re-locate the charcoal cannister to put it on? W/O seeing the set up yet I'm not sure if this is possible, but it is a common practice on other bikes...

From what I understand the charcoal canister is only required because of CA, not necessary elsewhere, why can't we just yank it off.
The BMW reps at the show said they dropped the Akra because of that silly can.

Long pipe & exhaust is available through Revzilla...also, when I had my R1100SLA, I moved the charcoal canister because I didn't like it's location. Just takes a couple pieces of appropriate hose to move it, not that big a deal even for a knucklehead like me. Here's the link to Revzilla:

Charcoal Canister Removal

Link above is one of a couple on the webz for removing these canisters. Fairly basic stuff, I've always removed mine since they look, and probably are, an ugly after thought, added weight and not needed. I chose this link since the GS canister looks to be mounted in the same general area as the NineT's (the R1200R's is under the headlight - and looks just awful).

UK dealer report that they have the long-pipe for the scrambler [accomodates the charcoal canister] but are waiting on the Akro can which is due in to AG [Germany] this week.

They are telling me it will arrive UK next week. Planning to have this installed at the same time as the post running-in service.

Reading between the lines it appears both the pipe and the muffler are different for the Scrambler to the RNineT.

Akro High Exhaust, Long Pipe and Bracket set are now available - BMW Munich are holding plenty of stock.

I'm booked in for Tuesday 6th December. No news on the windscreen bracket or rev counter
