I was notified by my dealer today that they were alloted 2 R Nines, #1 was sold and paid for, #2 declined, #3 Me :) never got a call because the owner of the facility liked the bike so much he pulled off inventory and took for himself , now I've been told my bike is in production in Germany and will be on a boat in 2-3 weeks, another 1-2 weeks after it hits the USA to get it in AZ and into my hands.
Being the owner has it's perks but sure doesn't do a lot for customer service.

Not Impressed - out him

AzEinstein,

I doubt BMW USA would be impressed with the message & integrity of the dealer mentioned. The dealer represents the product and the brand.

He is there to foster sales, market penetration, goodwill for BMW and credibility of their practices and product.

If I were his boss, I would not want him representing my corporation under and circumstances, even though he has a legal right to do what he did.

Even though almost all BMW dealers I have met are ethical and many tough businessmen - he gives BMW and dealers a very poor profile. I'm sure there is a clause in his dealers agreement.

I'd terminate his franchise for bringing BMW into disrepute.
