Didn't know you could do that! Your plate doesn't even say New York? Won't fly here in Mass. Looks great!

Great idea for a thread!

I have one coming in a couple months and will post pics when I receive.

The DMV here in CA takes 3-4 months to print and mail...insanely long!

Wow yeah that's long..my DMV in FL said 90days and it came in about 60

Yeah! My bike is registered in FL, not NY

NY has real stupid rules for registering, insuring and licensing vehicles.
Yes many have registered out of town plates. NY will one day realize to stop fleecing residents.

Anyway.

Question,

Oh Steve, Growing up in NYC we tried to hide our license plate numbers from visibility :)
not make it easier for someone to read it :). :).

why didn't you order one brighter and more visible, from NY state that orange/rust gold color plate may blend with the forks :)

That's funny. I've seen some pretty clever setups with the plate almost in front of the rear wheel held in with zip ties..very hard to read. Not something I have thought about doing to be honest.

But like you said, insurance in NY can be ridiculously expensive, so FL it is.

New York will never stop fleecing residents.
