Very late bulletin (bmw)

Nice bulletin Max ;) it's a shame this wasn't available on the first release date in October for the world to see to fully understand what the 9T is all about
Better late than never though and anyone late to the party will enjoy it even more :D:D:D

Top speed 125 mph :(
what you want the top speed to be?
I did take my MV Agusta Brutale 910R (with its minimalistic windscreen) up to 146 mph (as per GPS)
it is not something I care to do again.
is amazing that my arms did not disconnect from my body at the shoulders.
this was a long time ago by the way.

I concur, I've had the r80 up to 110 and the speed triple up to a similar 140ish, gripping on for dear life :)

Without fairing anything past 100 for any length of time is a pain the . . . everything

More speed please!!!

My old R1200GSTB with small screen would pull 146mph ;) sat nav speed
It's the same engine with a gearing change ,and I have good neck and arm muscles so I want it to go faster as an when I choose ,even if it's for short blasts:rolleyes::)

Gearing has it getting there pretty darn quick though :D
As I've said before this is the same motor, even though with slightly different gearing, that powers my half-ton sidecar rig which can easily attain 90 miles an hour if the screen is down in the cover on the chair

my point?
The R nineT is going to fly

When I hear of top speeds, all I can think of is idiots backing out of driveways between bushes, or cows, or dogs, or kids, or.........

Not to mention idiots texting on the highways and in town.
you are precisely correct about that. This new bike we all desire will have a great power to weight ratio. The truth is every single motorcycle built in the last 50 years has too much horsepower for the real world. I can't wait to be out in the wind in a way that I have not been for many years. Of course I'll have to paid extra attention when I'm riding behind some raw caller without a screen to protect me from taking a stone into the face
