Intro- I started riding right after I got home from Vietnam, Feb 1972. Short on money for the Sportster I wanted, went scrambling, and didn't realize how lucky I was. Got a Norton 750. Handled like a dream, and was pretty quick also.
This new NineT reminds me of that first bike, a bit. I have been riding an R1200C for the past 12 years- not bad, but definitely made for looks more than performance. I came real close to buying an R1200R over the last 2 years. But something held me back. Now I know what! This new little bike from Deutschland and Roland Sands fits me perfectly.
I felt off about the gold forks, the double exhausts. But it's all been growing on me. I have a pinch of experience in glass casting, so now I want to play with metal casting- maybe make some pieces for this bike. Or have fun playing.
