Been to get updates on my order of my 9T
Ordered on the 7th November 2013 - placed and accepted for build by BMW ;) not a short list as speculated.

Build number 3198179 :D
Delivery date 17th March 2014 :D

Dealer early viewing evening for (purchasers only )14th March 2014 at my dealers.:D

Still no pricing available of parts for the 9T as yet in the UK from BMW,but maybe once the UK official bike release at the NEC bike show on 23/11/2013 they will have a pricing structure available

Wheel options of cast alloys being assessed to whether they will fit as a later purchase option due to front fork difference in sizing parameters ect ect

Attached notes of basic price and codes ,also accessories order numbers ;)

wow
you got a build number and a delivery date?
that is odd because BMW never gives "delivery dates"
are you sure that wasn't a "planned date of production?"
maybe they do that for England-based folks... but, they couldn't possibly know when any bike would be DELIVERED here so the best we EVER get is a "DATE OF PRODUCTION."

kudos to you
thanks for the thread

This is great Bose. Based on your experience, I contacted my dealer in San Francisco and asked if I could place an actual order as well. I got the following email response from him:

"I just checked our ordering system and there is indeed the listing for the R Nine T. Looks like there is only the one color option available ( black storm metallic) and the only option they are offering is an alarm system. I would be happy to submit an order on your behalf now, but it doesn’t look like they are planning production to start until 01/01/14. There is usually a 3-4 month delay after production begins to when the bike actually arrives in store. So we are still looking at about March or April for delivery.

I do want to mention that BMW does their ordering process somewhat different than other manufacturers. Just because I submit an order for a bike to be built, they will not start production on it right away. Every dealership is allocated bikes to built throughout the year, but the bikes will be given to us at BMW’s discretion and at a time of their choosing.

We will still receive our first batch at the same time as everyone else and I have you down as the first deposit. The bikes coming in the first batch will be set up possibly with or without the alarm, but if you want one with the alarm let me know and I will make sure one of them has it for you.

However, there is every indication that other options will be available in the coming months including single or two seats, single or dual pipe, etc. These other options have not been confirmed but the pictures released by BMW suggest they will be at some point.
If any of these options were on your wants list, it might just be better to wait and see how the first one’s look. Then possibly put you down for a more optioned out bike in the near future.

Let me know what you think or if you have any questions on anything."

I would love to hear everyone's opinion - should I have him place the order for me now, or should I wait as he suggests in case more options become available?

Good for you Max get one ordered pronto, and then at the same time order the bits if any from the standard extras sheet to hopefully arrive together for your dealer to fit, before you collect your bike as none will be fitted via a factory build .

We will get our bikes before America as were next door to Europe and can be delivered from factory to dealerships In one day from Germany ,as all between us is the channel unlike the big pond you have ,so yes you'll be waiting for your ship to come in so to speak ;)

Thanks for posting but keep in touch an always look on here for info to maybe poke your dealer into a better move for yourself and your 9T :D

My dealer here in the UK has sold and ordered four bikes not just a fishing order but actual orders with tracking numbers accepted at BMW headquarters, and 1st bikes should be built To come off the line January/February 2014 .
Delivery date is march for Europeans and I've been quoted the 17th it will be the earliest I will get mine ,as it's the official release date from BMW to go onto the road ,so I'm guessing your will be on the boat while we will be running ours in but patience is a virtue so again get it ordered to avoid disappointment Max :D

I hope to see mine in the middle of March as well. Not sure if that'll happen all the way over here in the southeastern United States but I can still go to bed tonight hoping
