A custom rear-subframe with a detachable passenger backrest and attachments for this type of bag would be ideal as an option - then just take it all off when I want a solo ride.

I like the looks of the soft panniers, but the ones depicted seem to lack capacity. Have any forum members used soft cases much? Are there larger sizes available? How waterproof are they?

I actually would like to have a nice canvas side saddle like that. Now you got me thinking...

I'm thinking same style but made in good old Aussie Drizabone waxed cotton ... canvassy sort of .... might have to give my wife's sewing machine a bit of a workout ... ... can't only be spending money on toys for her, needs to be used !!!

You see for his its half leather and half canvas. Makes sense for the bottom to be leather though to keep its shape.

The woman are always good for something I have never seen my fiancee sew before but it could be something she picks up on lol.

Not a bad suggestion. I would like to see some more of these, it just matches the NineT in my opinion.

It's a nice bag, but how will you fix it on the bike ?

Gonna have to look at making a bracket rail to mount various things on. I will have to work something out when in posession of the R NineT. I am pretty sure we can figure something out.

There is a place in Nashville IN, that makes leather saddlebags. He makes them in just about any style you want. When I find out what attachments are available, I may have him make some very simple ones, in black pebbled leather, with brass hardware. On the other hand, I may need some way to put a net bunji over my briefcase just to strap it on for the office.
