I saw these on MCN's bike build clip from the Wrench Monkees (Denmark) and thought those saddlebags looked really cool ....

... the bags come into the picture at 2:00 mins

Here is their answer to my enquiry: "... Thanks for your mail. The Panniers are produced and designed by us and the Swedish company Sandqvist. They will be up for sale around March 2014 ..."

I actually would like to have a nice canvas side saddle like that. Now you got me thinking...

I'm thinking same style but made in good old Aussie Drizabone waxed cotton ... canvassy sort of .... might have to give my wife's sewing machine a bit of a workout ... :D ... can't only be spending money on toys for her, needs to be used !!!:rolleyes:

You see for his its half leather and half canvas. Makes sense for the bottom to be leather though to keep its shape.

The woman are always good for something ;) I have never seen my fiancee sew before but it could be something she picks up on lol. ;)

There is a place in Nashville IN, that makes leather saddlebags. He makes them in just about any style you want. When I find out what attachments are available, I may have him make some very simple ones, in black pebbled leather, with brass hardware. On the other hand, I may need some way to put a net bunji over my briefcase just to strap it on for the office.
