Who has noticed the mistake/wrong advise on page117 (English vs)

Let's see who is awake & more important corrects and tell us why it is wrong
no fuel level indication (only reserve)...
no engine temp...
no air temp sensor...

I'm a but frustrated...

in addition, what suspected / knew before:
no traction control
no power adjactable suspesion (front is not adjastable even by hands)
ABS is old version...

for the price of fully equipped with all above R1200R, that can also be customezed as **** in case you want to...
Want solo - I do not think is will be a problem to make a solo bike out of R1200R and he still will have all those features above.

Don not know guys, the far it gets, the less attractive 9T looks for me... althow I did not canceled my order yet

spring pre-load directions?
NOPE , pre-load is correct.
Rebound damping adjustment is wrong when riding 2 pers.

One person riding is correct: pre-load soft that is knob completely counterclock and if you're weight is above 100k I suggest a few turns clockwise again.

As an in between: preload is set as a hight adjuster ( don't be mistaken it does not change the characteristics of the spring, read some more on the Ohlins site ). Ideal you have to measure the distances between the lowest point of the front fork/ground and a fixed point at the rear/ground ( eg. fixing point muffler ).
If seated front and rear distances will lower. Trick is to keep the balance of the bike. If it lowers 1" front it should lower 1" at the rear ( yes you need a second person to measure :D ) That is the theory and if interest on the forum let me know, although adjustments on the nineT are very basic the 2 things you can do must be right.

As for the rebound damping: riding with 2 persons you should turn the adj.screw counterclockwards and then 1 turn clock again as a basic setting.
The rebound damping is less with 2 persons and it is logic. Suppose you hit a pothole, spring will extend at his max first tire loosing contact. Then the tire hits the edge and compresses fully. If the rebound damping is maximised the spring stays in this compressed way longer and is not ready to take the next bump or hole. It will bottom up and the kidneys say thanks. The bike will feel bumpy with to much reb damp.

Riding alone you need rebound damping, if you don't the bike will jump and loosens contact because the negative springdistance will be used up. Maybe an other thread on this? As a thinkabout: suspension is all about keeping maximum pressure/contact, avoid wobbling&jumping unless you want it

... you're correct of course , better hurry up and get your order cancelled before the real thing messes up all your hi-tech expectations .... this low tech bike doesn't deserve you ... - but you knew that already, duh!

I do can understand the irony, althow English is not my native language

well, those "whom 9T deserves" (c) Huntsman, I would advice in that case to focus better on something truely "analog", custom made based on R75 of something similar.

Instead of looking at "semi analog / semi digital" 9T and expect "low tech real steel".

If I would be looking for a hi-tech bike, I would look at MV Agusta, Bruatale 1090 RR, instead of 9T.
as soon as I'm not looking at Brutale, what does it means?....
it means that I'm not looking for a hi-tech bike => I do not have any "hi-tech expectations" (c) Huntsman
As simple as this.

p.s. there always be enough time to cancel the order
p.p.s. did not know that outside temp sensor is called a "hi-tech" feature.. may be on the other side of the planet... :D:D:D

Irony?

it was most probably your whingeing & whining at this late stage of the delivery process which prompted me to reply a little sarcastic. :p:p

The 9T doesn't look any less attractive now than it did at its introduction, in fact it looks sexier than before and I can't wait to take this beauty out for a ride .... :D, this courting period has gone on for long enough - it's time for 'consumation' :D:)

if you really start to compare it now (?) against all the goodies you would have received with the R1200R, I reckon you're either had blinkers on when putting money down for the order, or were swayed by reading too many negative ride reviews, or just posted to .... yeah, what exactly?

Hic modo propter loquelam ...
I'm just worried it might be too much bike for me, having been away so long. Of course, its only as fast as your right hand, so I can solve that, but......you all know what I mean. Even Milla fell, and she's a superhero.

Thats what I said when I gave parachuting a try, and then the chute didn't open!

Nah, I'm not worried about safety as much as thinking the bike might be wasted on me. Doesn't matter, it can sit in my garage and look pretty LOL. I don't have the opportunity to ride as much as most of you guys, due to family reasons, but I will most certainly enjoy the seat time I have on it!
