So, our dealer got the models for the upcoming bike show next week. Shipped straight from Germany to Calgary.

Have some friends there who took us to the back for a "private viewing". We spent close to an hour sitting on the bike, moved it around, "inspecting" from all angles. Some thoughts:

1. Bike is gorgeous. Fit and finish are tipical BMW. Close to perfect.
2. Looks like a "standard" motorcycle but still a total eye-catcher.
3. The colours and textures on it are excellent.
4. Ergos are awesome. Upright and comfortable.
5. THE BIG ONE. Size. As some of you may remember, I was turned off upon seeing the first pics of people sitting on the bike. It looked tiny. I'm a big boy, at 6'2" and 225lbs and was afraid I was gonna dwarf it... well, it's still not a very big bike, but even someone my height would look great on it. My friend Chris was there as well, him being the same size as me. Looks totally OK in real life. Pictures make it look weirdly small.

So, if anyone is still worried, don't. Bike looks great!!!

...me, I'm still not getting it, but staying in the BMW family. :D:D:D

Its interesting to hear all the guys worried the bike might be too small. Here I am at 5'9" worried that it might be too big! Almost all the new BMW's are just too freaking tall for me, unless lowered seat and suspension. We will see!

PIC's coming up

For Bose and 9T33. We took some, but not the greatest, as the dealer friends told us BMW said no pics till the show...

as from 16jan-till26jan we have the annual motorshow in Brussels.
I WILL take some pic's and M&M is going earlier then I am so pic's to be expected from him as well (think so???).:):):)
Going to try to have some pic's from unusual angles and if some people are crazy enough it might be fun to ask several "heights" to pose on the 9T:cool:

Don't get me wrong, the bike IS small. Low and sleek. But, somehow, tall guys look ok on it. This coming from a guy who changed his mind because of size.

At 5'9" it'll be perfect!

I am relying on you guys to get some pics of the "booth babes" on the bike too!

Bike show was on this weekend. Got to sit on the 9T a little more. Was placed on one of those fixed stands. Very comfortable bike. Very pretty too.

Didn't get to take a lot of pics as it was setup beside my (future) S1000R and that's where I spent most of my time... :p:p:p

Oh yeah she is pretty alright not too bad at all for the price. In my mind its waterdowned s1000rr and possibly a comfortable solution to its older sibling.

I wouldn't mind getting a test run on it but I'll probably end up sticking to a R nineT thats forsure.
