Look I love cafe's as much as the next guy but I don;t thinks its fair to real cafes to be calling the NineT a cafe. I get it, BMW is looking to capitalize on whats trending but it doesn't mean those of us who know better need to believe ;)

But its got a 1 up seat, so what...

Its got tank indents just like all my favorite cafes, so what....

its customizable, one more time, SO WHAT....

Look I get everyone wants a cafe with none of the work and BMW is certainly working hard to bring that goal to everyone but the purpose of cafes is to strip down small displacement bikes into something your own. Why do you think most cafes go from standard old CBs into small nimble handling machines?

Look NineT is a super cool bike, but its not a cafe. I'll give it Scrambler, but its not cafe'd until you cut it yourself. The best bikes are built, not bought...

stripped and simple. And you sit too upright on the NineT...

for somke guys that is what its all about. Not buying it out of the box the way it is and having to make some alterations themselves. I like the the concept but I would stick with how it comes. maybe some small changes but nothing big.

Totally agree. Really like the bike simple, as it comes. Clean up the exhaust with a slip-on, get the LED lights and it's pretty much good to go for me...

Jury is still out in regards to the little BMW cowl...

Who said this bike is a café-racer ? Certainly not BMW.
It's a good base to build one, for sure.
The concept Ninety was a café-racer.

every media piece i read about the NineT goes on and on about cafe styling, the comment sections are even worse... BMW doesn't have to say when they know what every one else will say...

It surprises me how bmw came out with the patent led headlight but didn't incluse an integrated tail lamp But then again even the more expensive S1000RR doesn't have one.

Its design is a classic roadster with an adaptive rear seat pod or hump not a cafe racer as then it would have a fixed bench seat with a pod and low clip on handle bars a leant forwards riding stance !! :D

Hi! I agree with Bose. I like the roadster look of it and I will try to keep mines as roadster as I can. Have you seen how Roland Sands already modified it? Here is a pic from it...

I have to agree with the tag bracket being in the right place. That kind of bracket does justice for the theme they are going for. Just hoping that the production R NineT will being coming with it otherwise we have to contact RSD for one.

That'll be an extra from your pocket not BMW as standard fit ,also your lucky here in the UK our license / number plates are mahooosive so no chance of putting it on the rear bevel case as Roland's demo bike ,Jesus the first right hand corner it would be history :D
