Found this article on VisorDown with the prices for all 2014 BMW bikes. It states that the R NineT will be priced at £11,600 which translates to around $18,700.

Heres the link BMW 2014 prices announced - Motorcycle news: New bikes - Visordown

A bit more expensive than I thought, what do you think?

I wonder why the 9t is so much closer to the price of the R12R in Canada than it is in Germany.

If the US pricing is similar to Canadian pricing, it would be $14,232, not $16.2.
What's with all the ***** footing around on pricing
Ring your dealer get a price with the desired extras if needed ,and you can either afford the desired 9T or you can't "simple" ;)
It's expensive as it's a celebration bike for BMW not a standard range built bike
If you have to justify a new toy then you really shouldn't purchase it ,go buy something else ;):D
My bike was ordered in October 2013 costing £11,642 with extras on the road ,and I desire nowt else that's value for money blah blah blah, it is what it is
You don't seem to understand that you can't get a price from a dealer in the US because BMW won't release the price for some reason. I put a deposit down based on what BMW reps were telling dealers that the bikes were expected to cost. I still want one at anything close to that price. $2000 more is bullshit and I won't pay it.

How come the rest of the world gets a price range and the huge US market isn't included in the world market
I would personally have contacted BMW marketing by now to get a figure or some answers to pricing ;):D
There must be some pricing structure in some other states in the US surely ,it's not long before release, and bikes must have been ordered for customers already in the US for stock levels to be built in Germany ;):D
Those are some great questions. The US dealers would certainly like some answers.
no
the bike will be $14,999.00 in the USD
you can't do that translation from the price you saw
it doesn't work that way
i promise you that
I kinda agree with Greg on this one. Talked to the sales manager today, as I finished my work a bit early. He and I agree on our own assumptions. We believe the bike will be at the dealer, prior to the time the official US msrp is announced on the 15th. He too believes it will come in right around 15,000. Of course, here in Indy, we have 9% sales tax, not to mention the standard shipping/delivery fee. We had the discussion that folks on the forums are concerned the pricing might be as high, or higher than the bikes above its grade. He did comment, the advertising expenses on the bike, the shows, the promotions, all that, will have to be folded into the price, and still come around 15,000. Lets all hope so.2-4,000 more, might irk me enough to just stick with an $8,000 bonneville.

FWIW, a local Houston area dealer shows the NineT on their web site priced at, "starting at $14,100", same as they have the R1200R priced. No ETA listed though.

Remember, there are only 2 bikes coming in March. Mine, and one other. I get the impression they are trying to get all of them in dealers hands by the 15th. (maybe some premier events?) To do that, some will be at some dealers maybe by the 1st, and some by maybe the 10th, solely due to logistics. Thats just my impression. Doesn't really matter to me, as I have told my dealer he can keep it in the showroom until we can get some crash bars if possible :) Also, if the bike doesn't fit me the way I want, I will be walking to their showroom next door and getting a bonneville. Besides, its going to take me at least a month to get my garage ready. I have to get rid of a bunch of junk, hang bicycles from a rack or the ceiling, and get some drywall fixed in there, and can't start that till Feb 13th. And then, only when weather permitting. Its cold and snowy here at times in Feb and March.
Not sure what all that has to do with BMW not giving us a price.

Can't answer that one! I did mention to the dealer if its more than the 1200R, not gonna be very happy.
I just heard from Max BMW that the official price is $15395 + doc/tax/reg. And they tell me we can expect them late February/early March.
A&S now says Call for Price on the R Nine T page

Don't understand why it's $1300 more than a R1200R, when in Canada it's only $150 more. If this price is correct I'm getting my deposit back and waiting for the new R1200R with no tubes and the new engine (which I like).

Flame away. I've got 6 motorcycles and can buy anything I want, just want to feel like I'm getting my moneys worth.

That's a bit of a bummer.....I was truly expecting about $1000 less than that. I think they got it wrong on the price. Maybe they have so many deposits they decided to push it.....who knows. It just makes my dilemma a little rougher between this and the Monster......still favoring the BMW though (by a long shot)
Also, I won't jump to conclusions until I see something official on the website or written down from the dealer. Who knows.

Fair comment NSX! $22822 Aussie dollars ride away! We're in a similar position (purchase wise) the cost isn't the first consideration, but value for money is fairly high up the list:) Still waiting on prices for most accessories, however have been quoted $1240AUD:( for the heated grips (fitted) that leaves the mind boggling a little!! By that I mean, I hope that isn't a trend for the pricing of other add ons:eek:
Price for 9t at russian market is

770000 rub - base
12000 rub - alarm

Cross rates to usd 1usd~35 rub so its ~22000$
To eur 1eur~48 rub so its ~16000€

Quote for russia this year is ~50 bikes, may be less. But as i know from russian bmw head office it must be produced 2 years.
US Pricing is live on the NineT page: 2014 MSRP starting at $14,900 (including ABS).
