Has anybody seen a pic of the Cardan Side in combination with the Single Seat ?
I'm looking for pics of the Licences Plate holder, where is the stop light, where are the turn light and so on.

Thanks, regards

Yeah, must be like that. But I'm looking forward to see something official from BMW. Over here customizing isn't that easy. Nearly every part has to be certified by an official authority.

I found some great pics from an french customizer. As it's a Hyper-modified R 1200 R, some parts will fit to the nineT and are very interresting to me. Especially the exhaust pipe, the rear wheel cover and the licence plate holder incl. signal pods and the brake lamp...

yea thats sweet but for most it might not be practical. How many have the technical skills to reroute the wiring down there? You could def do an axle bracket for the plate but your going to need to look into something else for tail lamp and signals. Although I have to imagine Motorrad is not going to leave us dry.

I don't think that this will be that difficult. I've read, that the wiring harness can be splitted. This part will have to bring the 'missing' part with it.

I hope my nineT will not see a lot of rain. It will be my ' nice-weather-only' bike. For touring and vacation I have my GSA :D

I believe there should be seven wires in the harness that can be split. Not too hard to do once you locate it.

@gerry

So the GSA will be the down and dirty right :D

Do you have saddle cases on her?

I had the same thoghts regarding "solo riding" sit and allocation of licence plate holder + stop and turns signal.

it can be that mud guard plate from GS ADV can be, after certain amendments, used at 9T as a licence plate holder:

regarding the stop and turns signal - the best potion I see is under the short tail of solo sit or above the license plate.
On the official pictures of solo version, there are no stop and turn lights, it means they can be taken off, it means that their wiring is having a certain plug at the end.
it means that you can buy a spare wiring with plug from the dealer, make it shorter (if you will install the lights under the tail of solo sit) or enlarge its length (if you will install the lights above the licence plate above the rear wheel).
you will still keep the original length wiring, just in case you will want to make the bike back to "rider +1" configuration.

this is in theory.
looking forward to find out what will be in reality.

Good shout Becker ,my thoughts if there's not a BMW option as an optional extra:rolleyes: but I will buy a carbon fibre one from the famous German
brand ,as it will be stronger to maybe add a led stop tail light and led indicators then add a nice carbon hugger from the same German maker to keep a uniformed look of nice carbon ;):D
