If everything goes to plan; pick up the bike in March, get the first service done ASAP then off to France at the end of May for a fortnight to commemorate the D day landings then down to Northern italy and the lakes before winding back up to take in the Garmisch show and party before a scenic route back through Germany, Belgium and Holland. The joys of retirement and the freedom of being able to suit myself! Mrs SP is cool about it so all good.

As soon as it arrives I will get a weekend running it in over in wales to give it true varied engine speeds ,and bed those nice new rings in properly to avoid later oil consumption;)
Then enjoy it on my local roads until June 24th ,and have some fun in Italy with a pal on his 2013 GS LC, all passes will be truly be open by then and snow only hanging on the taller cols :D
Joy to all wherever you take your 9T:cool:

That sounds like an amazing trip to take on the nineT. Have you done a trip like that before? I want to take a trip down to Niagra Falls since I haven't been there before. After that I'm not sure if I would go somewhere else or just stay there for a few days before heading back to Toronto.

Do you think the nineT will be comfortable enough for a long trip like the one you are taking?

Bose asks on another thread about how long I'll be at Garmisch for this coming summer. For those of you not familiar with the show BMW hosts a 3 day show and party in the famous Bavarian town of Garmish-Partenkirken. It really is a most do for anyone in love with the marque with the added bonus of some of the best riding in europe, everything BMW, old and new and most of the best aftermarket companies. Friday and Saturday night is party night in a giant Beer Keller on site. 2014 it'll be over 4-6 July. Look up 'world days 2014. I'll be there from Thursday afternoon and leave on the Monday so I can take all days of the event. This'll be my 6th visit.

I did get a chance to ride 75 miles today and had a wonderful time.
I believe it is going to rain the next two days, unfortunately.
My daughter attends Boston College and is on the crew team and has spent a great deal of time out in the recent weather.
Of course, when you're a college student snow and bad weather still seems to have some romantic component that the true working world doesn't appreciate :)
