Hi Troops, from Port Glasgow Scotland, I have Just Puchased an R9T 8 ball custom, after watching y/tube hidden stuff, there is meant to be an Optimate plug in wire tucked behind left side downtube for footrest mount, Mine just seems to have wires going to Exhaust cat, Does anyone know if ther is another charge point for Optimate.Thanks for any help.!!

Welcoming you. Congratulations on your new bike and welcome to the forum. If you can't find one, wouldn't hurt to install a couple pigtails, maybe one coax and one standard fit you battery charger.

The standard powerlet plug socket can be used to charge the bike right? With an optimate canbus charger..

There is not suposed to be an extra pigtail on the bike pre installed

I'm not a million miles away (or is that 500 miles) but installing a pigtail down at the back of the bike is pretty easy, you can use the Jump start terminal (under the seat) for the positive and one of the screws next to it for an earth.

I don't know about your model, my 2017 Racer was kitted out as @Chris. described

I'm not a million miles away (or is that 500 miles) but installing a pigtail down at the back of the bike is pretty easy, you can use the Jump start terminal (under the seat) for the positive and one of the screws next to it for an earth.

Hi Kenny I own a 2018 R9T classic with a blue 8 ball custom paint scheme.I use the factory fitted socket which is located above the left hand cylinder fixed to frame this is linked to an optimate 4 "Can-bus" edition charger.This arrangement removes additional leads elsewhere on the bike.
