Potential new owner

I bought mine before riding it. It was in a consignment shop and I made an impulse buy based on it's mileage and age. I made a few adjustments to the suspension but haven't messed with anything else. I spent about 10 hours on it one day and don't see any need yet. The seat is thin and hard but I find it works. Welcome to the asylum. I'd suggest you buy the bike and make any changes you require/desire as you go. Modifying and customizing ability of the R NineT seems to be one of it's greatest strengths.

I'm not so sure he did buy it. He never posted after starting this thread. Maybe the horse beating was a bit overwhelming to him after all. Makes sense though, trying to ask advice from people who claim silly things like discs float.
