I have a 1250 GS TE already. I have always liked the look of the standard r nine t. I have a chance of a brand new 22 at a reasnoable price. I have never sat on one let alone ride one. i am being told that they are un comfortable with a stretch to the bars putting pressure on wrists and back. Is this correct. I’m 5 foot 9.

I have just traded in my 2020 r1250gsa for the new R NineT. I am 6ft2. Bar risers, new seat and racks on order.
The R NineT is so different you really must test ride one. I knew I wanted it after 30 miles. The Gsa is a fantastic ride but if anything, it's too good. A little fun was missing for me. The R NineT makes me smile when I ride and when I look at it.
