R9T 21 Vintage in Bavaria

Hi all,

new member here. Based just northeast of Munich in beautiful Bavaria.
I’m bought my R9T vintage from the factory as a BMW employee on 20th December 2017 (what a Christmas present!).

I’m fortunate and have a few BMW motorbikes in my small collection (K1, R1150GS, R69s R100s), and as such, my R9T has the grand total of 350 km on the clock. 😉🤣

Do I keep her? Do I sell her?

Choices choices.

best regards to all!

You were a factory employee? Are you still? Do you get friend and family discounts? If you do, you have just gained a couple thousand new friends. Welcome to the forum. By the way, keep the bike. Keep all of them.

Welcome. I'd say you need to put many more kms on her before you decide.

problem is, I have rebuilt a R100s into a cafe racer and whenever I walk into the garage and see them both I always take the 100s 🤣🤦🏼

I never ride it…not because I don’t like it, but rather, I always end up taking out my R100s cafe racer…🤦🏼🤷🏼
Welcome to the forum from Ohio, USA! :)

It's a beautiful bike, and a nice collection you have there.

I've always been of the mind that if I had multiple bikes (which I do not), I would want each to serve a different purpose or type of riding. A weekend fun bike, a commuter, a tourer, an adventure bike, a sportbike, and maybe a simple cruiser. If the R9T's territory is already covered by another machine in your stable, maybe sell it and buy something to meet a need you have that isn't met already. Or keep it and just enjoy it occasionally like you do now.

Personally, if it's paid for I would keep it. I wish now that I'd kept my old VFR after I bought my R9T Pure.
