Hi everyone, first post here on the forums. Thanks to all for the engagement and help! What a community!

I have a '17 Pure with REMUS catless headers, flapper delete, stock filter and a stock can. I bought my bike with these mods so when I was watching this YouTube video I realized my throttle response is not even close to what I see/hear in the video! I am guessing my bike is running a bit lean as little blips will sometimes cause it stall out or stutter. As such, I am researching af-xied, BP and Power Commander. My mechanic, at Island BMW in Victoria BC, recommended the PC but I don't see a tune for my exact setup. Remus catless + flapper delete + stock can. Is anyone else running this setup with a successful tune from af-xied or PC? Thanks!

I'm running exactly that set up, helga, and ended up, after trying and removing a BP, fitting a Power Commander with RR session, which smoothed things out especially at the low end (on-off throttle had been very jerky).

A good solution for a snappy throttle might be the Rrrapido throttle pulley. It's an easy, cheap mod with the added benefit of closed to wot just one twist away (no adjusting your grip on the throttle).

Hey firstly welcome to the forum @helgatheR9T :)

When you can find the time could I ask you to consider posting an intro in the New Members Introductions section of the forum. We are a friendly bunch and like saying hello properly. :)

I've also moved your post and created a new thread for you in the Engine Tuning and Performance section as this is more about tuning the fuel mix than the headers themselves.

You might also want to look at Rapid Bike modules as well - they seem to get a pretty good name for themselves and tune the fuel/air mix automatically. Popular custom shops such as Pier City Customs in the UK seem to really rate them. I personally have no experience of them, but I do have great things to say about my Bren tune using their handheld ECU flash device. Transformed the bike!

Hi @helgatheR9T,
If you've done your research and like the look of the af-xied system, I suggest you take a look at the RapidBike Easy module. I believe it's essentially a af-xied type module and should bring your bike back into spec. The RB-E is also a bit cheaper than the AF-Xied system too. RapidBike do a few variations from the basic module I just described through to full tunes.

Having tried both the RapidBike Easy and also a full custom tune (BrenTune), if I were to start over I'd probably just stick with the RapidBike Easy. The BrenTune is more refined, but for the 3-4x the price I don't think it's 3-4x better. You also don't have to play around with the ECU with an RB-E.

Thanks so much! I've ordered the RBE and it's on its way from the UK > Canada via post. Looking forward to giving it a go and that snappy throttle back! Stay safe out there :D

Hi, is it pretty established that the RapidBike Easy works exactly the same as AF-Xied? I installed the latter on my 2007 R1200S, and it was the single best mod I did to it. I was intending to do the same on my new-to-me 2016 RNineT but certainly wouldn't mind spending half the money if the RapidBike Easy gets exactly the same job done with a single unit.
