Placed an order with Daedalus Moto for a set of PVM Wheels on May 10th. I was told to expect the wheels within 4-6 weeks. Seems like a long time but I was told they are made to order and they are coming from Germany. So that made sense.

I paid for the wheels up front so keep in my Daedalus has "had my money" since May 10th. With an expected product receive date of June 10th-June 24th.

Needless to say it is August 6th today and there is STILL no word on when I will receive my wheels. I have emailed back and forth with the guys at Daedalus for the past 3 months now. It normally take them 3-4 days to even respond to an email. And that's normally after I send them 2 emails. They do understand this is unusual for PVM to take this long to ship their product.

This post isn't meant to blast Daedalus but to point out a serious lack of customer experience when buying PVM wheels through them. Here's my current list of experiences.

-They've had my money (over a couple thousand) since May 10th
-They have no idea when I will get my wheels. They claim their contact at PVM hasn't given them any info.
-They have not offered me any options to help satisfy the situation. (I've told them I want a refund if there is no product on the horizon which they've agreed to)
-It takes them at least 3-4 days to respond to any email. I'm currently waiting on a response from a July 30th email.

In conclusion.... Buyer beware with Daedalus when purchasing PVM wheels.

I definitely understand things take time. But the ball has dropped by Daedalus. Literally zero communication and I've had to drag any info out of them through multiple emails. Even at this point I have received an email to refund my payment.

Dedalus are good guys, but a small outfit focusing more on design and engineering rather than customer service and human-to-human interface.

They delivered for me two orders, they were a little slow to respond, but always finished the job well.

Lesson for me was don’t buy EU made parts from Dedalus, as I had to pay import/custom duty for Rizoma parts made in IT shipped to US and send back to the UK. That is relevant for as long as UK stays within EU market.

Daedalus will simply be acting as the middleman and handling the import and resupply of the wheels, so they are ultimately slave to the manufacturer of the wheels and they can probably do little to hurry up the process. I waited (from my bad memory ) about 4 months for my Kineo wheels to be shipped to me (apparently because they were supplying MV with wheels and that was taking precedence). The UK agent did keep me up to date with the supply time and was always quick to respond to any enquiry. From what you are saying the response times to queries seems to be the main point of contention? In fairness to Daedalus they have said that they will refund you if the timeline stretches much further...

I think the best way of moving this thread onwards constructively is for me to move this thread to the Daedalus forum section and offer them the right of reply (only fair I think).

@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] It would be useful if you could advise as to the current situation with PVM.

I received a call from Sal today and my funds are being refunded. Yes Dave the issue came down to complete lack of communication. I completely understand they are only acting as the middle man. They are not to blame for any manufacturing delays. I was simply pointing out that how they have handled this particular situation is poor (in my opinion).

In the end I want the wheels... but since I had to contact PVM myself to get any info I can't say D moto did not do a good job with my purchase. FYI to anyone else buying these wheels. I was told by PVM directly that they are all on holiday, they are having "staffing/company issues," and they're relocating their production facilities. So don't expect wheels anytime soon.
