I'm a long time lover of the marque. I've owned so many I'd struggle to count them. My first was an R100/7 and currently own a R1200R, an R80 G/S and a R60/2. Most have been airhead GS's but have had several Oil heads too, again GS's. Loved them all, I just like to ring the changes. My current R1200R is probably the best all round bike I've owned. Until recently I have seen no reason to change it! Back in July I saw the Roland Sands concept bike at the Garmisch gig and remembering the 2009 concept bike it got me thinking that something was in the offing. As soon as the NineT was launched I went down to the dealer and told them I'll have one. It ticks a lot of boxes for me. I'm not sure yet what will be included in the 'base' package but the soft luggage looks good and if the twin pipe is 'standard' I might go for the low sport pipe. The carbon front cover looks good but I like the dual seat rather than the sports hump. It'll be a long winter waiting but at least I can join in with this forum to keep the excitement levels high!

Absolutely not alone.. this bike is sweet. As someone who rides late into the cold season, this bike is sexy - the double exhaust is hot!

Welcome aboard Paul :)

the more im on this forum the more i notice im one of the few that like the Akrapovic single exhaust over the dual, especially when it looks like this:

since we have a single sided swing arm, i like the 'better' side being exposed more :D

cleaner look for me = win
