I think it may well be a BMW/German thing. My MINI does the same - GPS says 60 speedo says 65.
Speedometer accuracy
Finally got my new nine t on Saturday. LOVE it. It rides wonderfully. Am I really going as fast as the speedometer says? Doing 90 feels like doing 75 on my old r1200c. Does anyone know the likelihood that the speedo is off?
