Ok, so maybe I'm weird... But I actually like the look of the two cans better than the other two options ( I think so far from pics anyway ).

The low can looks like any other, and the high one IS cool, but I agree about the heat/ burn issue. If it can burn you, I'd be sure to be sticking bare skin on it somehow. But I'd do the high scrambler style anyway if I had to choose.. What's another burn.

only thing i dislike about this specific setup is that it's mounted lower, i know i would want to get the higher mounted single, it's just a much cleaner look.

the std exhaust is an Akra, and I like its look vs the 2 optional ones.
If only I can find an option with 1 exhaust each side. Simple, rather straight, with a classic & classy look (insipred by the one on the original R90s for instance, modern & shorter ones to have a neat finish).

I know Phillip right?! I think the twin cans look SUPER cool. And from what audio I can hear I think they sound throaty. Probably due to the splitting of the outflow.

will that improve looks only, or also longevity? may I ask what they're quoting you to do that?

The reason is, that the exhaust will look ugly after a few month.
The old 2-valve Boxer got blue and stayed blue for year.

The 4-Valve Boxer get blue, then yellow and green... and ugly...
I see it at my GSA every day

Well, for the 2-valve Boxer I agree.
This is a 1995 R 100 GS Paris-Dakar Classic.
These bends will stay like this forever.

BUT, this is my 2010 GSA:

This has nothing to do with Patina it is nothing else but ugly...and nothing left you can do... you won't get it clean again.
